I hope they just stick with Mortal Kombat. Its the best idea out of all of them.

If they are going to restart the series or go with a whole new story rather, I hope they just call it Mortal Kombat.

For the sake of argument, for my ideas I will just use the name Reincarnation as stated above. Not saying that it is what I want the game to be called, I just don't want to think of anything else right now.

Or they can do the same route that Legacy of Kain did. Like the first game was called Blood Omen, then the second one was Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, then Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2. So it could be something like Reincarnation:Mortal Kombat.

Or they can do the same route that Riven and Myst had. Reincarnation: A Sequel to Mortal Kombat. (This one was a joke of course)

Apocolptic

I like the idea of mortal kombat Apocalypse.

Wiping the slate clean doesnt mean forgetting all the past story line... Im pretty sure that Armageddon was just a setup for the next installment..
Something happens at the end of armageddon to get rid of most of the characters... Armageddon wasnt stopped, so the next game will probably deal with that and take the story in a different direction from there..

Apocalypse could be a good title, Generations could work, we are getting a game with mostly new characters in a way getting the next generation of fighters.

However, im guessing that the Title will be more specific, and more focused on specific plot points in the game... no one would have guessed Deadly alliance or Deception as names of those games before any information about them was released.

So we can guess Title names until our face turns blue but chances are we wont be close

Of course it could rip off the Legacy of Kain series.

They could call it:

Apocalypse: The Legacy of Mortal Kombat

Honestly though, I would prefer they just call it Mortal Kombat.

I wish they would just do Mortal Kombat 5, Mortal Kombat 6, Mortal Kombat 7, and Mortal Kombat 8. I hate the names. Plus, it makes the game seems more .....vintage when you use numbers.

How about -- "Mortal Kombat: Pile of Shit"? That would be truest to the source material.

Mortal Kombat sounds good to me, it could take place at the second official MK tournament, MK1 being the first. with all new charaxcters, and elderly jax, cage, Lao etc.
