I'm harbouring a sneaking suspicion that this could go down as one of the greatest fighting games of all time. Not a really good one, but one of the absolute best. Up there with Tekken Tag, Third Strike, SF2 Turbo and MVC2. I honestly think this game is going to skyrocket MK and NRS.

MK has always been huge, right from the get co. MK reigns over all other fighting games in the world. There is not one other fighter that comes close, imo.

MK9's success is the reason we have MKX now, it was that the title that put MK on the map again.

Look MK is all of our favourite game fighting game, but if I asked on a Capcom or a Namco board, they'd all say that their game is miles above all the other games. Nature of the beast.

Yeah both the PS4 and XB1 Amazon collector's editions are sold out and they have only been announced for a few days, I think this game is going to be massive, which im super happy about.

Conan's "Clueless Gamer" video of MKX got 4 million and more Youtube views (not counting actualy TV views) in a day. It currently has 9.2 million.

Not to mention a lot of the trailers have 1,000,000+ views (for example, Kitana's trailer has close to 3 million views through like 3-4 videos)

Yeah, well that may seem sad to someone like you, but I'll tell you what is sad brother, is the fact that I've been coming here since 1999, and i have NEVER seen such a crowd of immature responses from people who wouldn't even dare speak to me in such a way in person. The whole damn haternet these days. It takes the fun and magic out of what the net used to be. This game will be huge and I am so hyped for it! I remember when the last one came out I preordered the kollextors edition and patiently waited then ..... It's release got canceled in Australia cause we didn't have an r rating and the powers that be deemed it to violent for us little Aussies damn I was angry! I eventually sourced one from the uk and after many anxious months I had the greatest fighting game ever. Injustice improved on a lot of things and added alof of good new content so I reckon this game will build on injustices successes and be the best fighting game ever!!!! Can't wait just hoping for Noob or smoke or both to make the cut!!!!

Agreed... I'll admit, years ago, I was the type who would be butthurt if an MK game had ratings of less than 8/10 in reviews, blindly accepting any new MK game as the greatest thing on Earth. However, let's be honest, until the 2011 MK, the last one that seemed like a legit competitor for being tournament fighter was Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.

The PS2/Xbox "trilogy" of Deadly Alliance, Deception, and Armageddon were a more experimental phase that focused way too much on 3D gameplay that felt like a drastic departure from the series. It was like when Street Fighter attempted to go 3D for the first time with the EX series... and those are mostly forgotten (not terrible though, just not that popular).

If any good came from MK VS DC, it was that it was forcing more 2D gameplay (despite still being able to sidestep), which led the return to the strictly 2D plane with 2011's MK (well, that, and Street Fighter's successful return of combining 3D elements and a 2D plane). And this is why the 2011 incarnation was welcomed with open arms to EVO, and why MKX will be bringing the franchise back there this year.

I have and will always love MK, but I know it hasn't always been perfect... Mortal Kombat Annihilation is proof enough that the franchise has flaws
