Deception's broken two-player gameplay (which kept it out of EVO '05) didn't do it any favors at the time either.

Agreed. I love Deception, and Deadly Alliance for that matter. The mythology in those games was great to me but man were those games clunky clusterfucks. lol Still fun as fuck to play though despite it.

I actually loved the backstory and the lore in deadly alliance and Deception more than the fighting part itself. (Although generally I liked all of Deception, other than introducing bland characters like Darrious and Dairou )

To the guys saying that Drahmin is a poteintial charachter.
I gotta agree HE LOOKS SO BADASS and is one of the best 3D era charachters.
Some people hate him, without any reason. He looks and has way more potential than the newcomers in MKX.

I awlays felt that him and Shinnok are the most underrated charachters in the franchise. At least Shinnok was redeemed in MKX - probably has the best design ingame. A lot people started liking him and so did I. I want to see more of him.

About why are newcomers more pop. than 3D era charachters, is solely on gamplay.

I don't care for any of the 3D Characters except for Nitara. I just like vampires in general, especially hot female vampires. If you're a hot female vampire irl, come to me.

I've said this a million times already but it is so true- The 3D era games had shit gameplay but the story was at its peak of fantastic writing. Now the gameplay isat its peak but the story is...underwhelming.

Nitara would've fit PERFECTLY in this game just going by her design. A sexy re-imagined Nitara with killer gameplay needs to happen at least for mk11
