I really a new adventure game is going to happen, let alone MK9....but if it does;

I would like to see a Quan Chi adventure, explaining his back story and what not. I would also just like to use a sorcerer....I supposed Shang would be cool too, but I think Quan has more mysterious appeal.

Maybe a Noob game, but we all pretty much know what happens....

A Kano/Black Dragon Sand-Box, GTA-esque game....wishful thinking.

A Smoke/Cyrax/Sektor backstory game....I want to see these guys in action in their human forms.

I would rather have a game that unravels some mystery or has some ground-breaking details...not the same old stuff.

I'd like to see a game that focused on Kitana, Mileena, and Jade when they were all serving Shao Kahn. Maybe explaining how Kitana finally learned the truth about her past.

Or a game that focused on Shao Kahn and his rise to power.


Provided they had a good storyline that made sense within the canon and not a total trainwreck like Shaolin Monks was.

If you're expecting them to team up again, you can kiss that idea good-bye. They turned on each other in both of their endings, not to mention in teh beginning of Deception.

Having them team up again would both make no sense and look stupid if two people who turned against the other somewaht team up once again.

Not to mention, what would they be doing if forever some reason they were to come back together as a team again?

An MK3 adventure game wouldn't hurt, I'd like to see that.

But I've never seen anyone complaing about SM, I actually enjoyed that game, despite the fact that I never really appreciated the Sub-Zero and Scorpion change to the characters... when I first got it, I thought there was going to be something different to those two characters if you chose them, unfortunately I was wrong, but it's still a good game to play.

: Lin Kuei vs Shirai Ryu (aka Sub-Zero vs Scorpion) - This seems like the most obvious choice. I'd want something that comes from the past and fleshes everything out up until the present. Goes into great detail per the perspective of each of these characters and their history. I'd want everything too though. Connections, relationships, relatives...insight into the clans would reach to and beyond Sektor, Cyrax, and Smoke.

: Shang Tsung - Something that starts him from being who he was before he was cursed by the gods, and really makes people sympathize with him, even though he's a bad guy that made alot of bad decisions. Again, explain every little thing. There's something about a bad-guy game that hasn't been done yet that I think would be fun to play through for a change. If they made it seem like he was "trying to do the right thing" for himself the whole time it's work better. His story should be extremely ugly though. Filled with tragedy, drama, and action. Shang Tsung created Mileena in a game like this...

: Raiden - Start at the defeat of the one being, Shinnoks role in all that, the creation of the other realms gods and Raiden. Skip through time playing through significant points in world and mortal kombat history. In a story I wrote about him, Raiden is responsible for the death of the Dinosaur, and silly stuff like the Grand Canyon (7 wonders of the world...MK solves the wonder). Raiden was around during the all the mk contests. Presumably, including the first one. In that same vein, he was around when Onaga held power, and all the Shao Kahns issues. He's been exposed to every character on the roster so a cast wouldn't be the issue...

I honestly think that the only character that makes any sense to have a adventure game in this cannon story...is sub zero... and the reason i say that is because he's the only character that has been in EVERY single mk game...and i will make myself clear... MK SF... ISN'T A MK GAME...it had NOTHING to do with mk and is not even kinda a mk video game...but over all...no one here can say sub zero wasn't in every single game and if they wanted to tell the story of mk in a adventure game...he would be the one i think who it would likely star...unless they did it in chapters like they did mk vs dc..which i wouldn't mind either

You got MKSM....the MK3 games, which doesn't really count since it was just like upgrades to the game, and then you got ports to other systems, but its pretty much the same game.

The MKDA opening video? They don't really do that much that we haven't already seen.

Even though Sub-Zero is probably the only character capable of having his own story, being in every MK game is not a reason why he should have his own game... again. The way he's like in the franchise, his whole background makes it worth having an individual game be based on him.

Special Forces IS an MK game the last time I checked, even though the story is completely non-cannon, it's like you're saying that every non-cannon MK game is not a MK game even though the title "Mortal Kombat" appears with the game itself. Special Forces is a MK game unfortunately, even though its more hated than Mythologies, but it's still a MK game. But I need to ask you this, have you ever played Special Forces, or even knows the whole story being Special Forces?

That sounds like a really good idea. I would really prefer any adventure game that doesn't focus on the main protagonists aka Shaolin Monks Special Forces, Cage etc.....

IMO, an adventure game that shows Raiden and Fujin's rise to Godhood would be cool as well.

He's probably not popular enough to do this...but a game showing Kai's past would be interesting, perhaps building up to his rise of being Kang's sucessor in MK9....

Or a game showing the sucession of the Black Dragon from the Red Dragon, maybe as controlling Kabal

I would be glad to see another adventure game, but with a lot more challenges than anything, I felt that SM was way too easy for another attempt to make a good adventure game since Special Forces and Mythologies were big failures... although I don't see why Mytholgies sucked, I thought it was fairly good with some flaws but just because it was too damn hard... but the storyline was great, and the boss fights were fun and that... what's wrong with putting a little more challenge into the game?

if you knew anything about that speical game... you would know that no one on the mk team made or had anything to do with the creation of it..it was a group of people who haven't ever worked on the game... so clearly.. that game isn't and can not be part of the franchise... MK Sub-zero was a mk game..any other title you can name even the game boy games and so on were all mk team related games... hense why i count them but mksf was not included in this franchise

WTF are you talking about? It was made by the same people who made Mytholgies and SM, with not a lot of people on the team because Tobias and several others left, but it doesn't mean that no one from Midway created it. Yeah, they did.

I don't know why you're saying that SF shouldn't be even considered as a MK game, you're giving the feeling that every poor created MK game shouldn't count as a game included in the MK franchise. No, no, SF was made by Midway, included as a game that takes part with MK whether or not it's cannon, and you can't say it's not a MK game just because it sucked. No, you can't say that because it's not right and you know that.

And just because a fresh band on creators made the game shouldn't be known as people who don't make MK games even though they're clearly making MK games. So, you're telling me that the people who joined the team after several others left made MK games that are not apart of the franchise. Becuase that is exactly what you're saying and don't say you're not. You clearly stated that these people made game that has nothing to do with MK even though it clearly is, yet because they were brand new people, they're making MK games that shouldn't be with the franchise.

Seriously, get the facts straight, every game produced by Midway that's a MK game, belongs in the MK franchise, even if the game sucked so much by a lot of people, it's still considered a part of the MK franchise.
