By what Vogel is saying it sounds like she's not supposed to be figured out, it's just a mystery woman who stays a mystery. Maybe since he brought her up she'll be referenced in MKX, but most likely she will still be unnamed.

Manipulates certain events and changes several things here and there to kind of shape things as she sees fit, maybe we'll call her Retcon lol

This, IMO. Don't think she'll be a fighter, she'll be a behind the scenes operator. Could well see Jade becoming much more influential if she operates through her, or could become a Damashi situation if she operates for the One Being

I think it's a female embodiment of the One Being. Through Jade, it wants to correct any mistakes in it's overall plan and bring about the restoration of the Dragon King and the merging of the realms.

Interesting how she appears to Jade of all characters. Perhaps it's an Edenian deity?

Not that I'm against Jade or anything, but why choose her?

Is it because they HAD to make a Powerpuff reference in Kitana's ending, and show Mileena that she can overpower?

*clears throat and corrects his glasses*
Uhm, it's a Charlie's Angels reference, not a Powerpuff Girls reference.

;P

But seriously, I think it was an attempt to give Jade something new and interesting, a new angle than her just being Kitana's loyal friend. And Jade needs that new angle, to be honest. As an individual, she doesn't have alot going for her. She's a support character.

Really? I never got the Charlie's Angels vibe from it. I just got Powerpuff Girls because of the colors. Although I seriously cannot see Kitana being Bubbles.

But I will agree that Jade needs something new happen to her that strays away from Kitana and anything around her. I feel that she sorta should be an independent character rather than sticking around with someone. I mean she's always been that, it would be nice to see her stray away from that kind of character for a bit.

Kitana's endings for the past few games have all been very Charlie's Angels/Girl Power foolishness. Ugh.

In my mind my fanon for Jade was as a stern lone wolf kind of character. Someone who works better alone but still can be part of the team when necessary. Of all the female "ninja" characters she's the one I imagine being the most solitary and stealthy and I'd like to see them do something in that area if she does indeed comeback.

I just really thought/hoped that Jade's ending was totally non-canon at all, and all the people wasting their time on 'mystery woman' speculation could be silenced once and for all in favour of concentrating on ACTUAL characters...

... all hope now dashed.

Boon mentioned Kitana's "Charlie's Angels" ending in one of his recent interviews. He actually said the words "Charlie's Angels" lol

LOL Powerpuff girls. Well it'd be cool if this new woman gives Jade a new purpose, she's the coolest out of the Edenian girls. Although I like Mileena a lot as well, if she comes back as well please, just please grow a brain.

Now that I think about it, Posessed could be one of Jade's variations. Like this woman exhibits powers through Jade.

I hope that possession spirit finally gives Jade a real cool purpose and kills off Kitana for all I care.

What if she ended up being one of the bosses in MKX? Seems like she has a ton of power and ability. Would be cool for a badass chick to be a boss.

She has that same Light-Teal skin color as Shinnok and KotaL Kahn. So I'm thinking Goddess

This.

I wanted to say that maybe she related to Kotal Khan as she, also, has a green skin, but I was ninja'd.

I know this is somewhat irrelevant, but is Kotal's skin actually green?

In the HD shots released by NRS, it looks like it's a heavy smattering of green paint on his skin, yet you can still see splotches of peach-y colored skin beneath the paint (which looks caked-on and dry.) It's especially noticeable on his face and along his left shoulder.

Just an observation; I don't mean to go off on a tangent.
...
Regardless, Mystery Woman does look to have blue-green skin that "shimmers" and she seems to be omniscient, so it's a strong possibility that she's a deity of some sort, as previously mentioned.

But too bad this is only in the non-canon endings.
Ending that are 1000% better and more interesting than the real canon-boring storyline.

I almost loved all the fake non-canon endings of the characters (Kitana's and Mileena's endings sucked tho, I don't want charlies angels and I don't want Mileena to be powerful like in her ending) so I hope to see those instead of the real MK9 canon stuff which sucked 99%, the 1% is that i'm happy that Kitana died.

It doesn't make sense to me not to elaborate on her story. They have an interesting idea about Jade so that she may finally become her own character and they are gonna just leave it at that? They even made Blaze a real character. Why feature such an interesting in an ending just to leave her in the shelf? If they rly do that it will be silly imho

Jade's ending really seemed to stand out amongst the rest in MK 9. Where as most did the generic character x gets the power of a god, or some other silly things like Sheeva becoming the Queen of Australia, Jade's seemed to actually have a story behind it.

They could have just done Jade becomes super powered hunter of evil or something like they did with everyone else, but they didn't. They introduced a new character, and a new element to the story that actually makes sense. Shao Kahn's death wasn't supposed to happen the way it did. Raiden fucked it up, so this godlike being shows up in order to try and correct the timeline using Jade as a tool.

It just seems like NRS would not go through the trouble of creating this character and giving her a nice motivation only to abandon her. I'd say we could potentially see Jade return and this mystery woman could be the suprise boss they hinted at.

NRS's specialty is missed opportunities and untapped potential.
