They better treat her right this game, I'm sick of them always brushing her off. She has the power and the ability to be such a strong pivotal female character in the game, but they always make her this stupid ditsy clone and nothing more.

I have faith they'll do her justice in MKX, but it worries me that we only see her in 1 scene/setting in the trailer... if she is the big bad, then Kotal kills her I'm going to fucking pissed they do that to her again. Make her fucking awesome, just to kill her. -____-

I'm just glad that she's more than a brainless sex symbol. After MK9, most of us were worried about the direction they were taking with Mileena. Now that she's making power grabs for the throne, I'm actually really happy with what they did to her.

I just hope that there's some meaningful interaction between her and Kitana. Maybe even her and Ermac and Sindel.

I don't know about anybody else but seeing Mileena in the trailer makes me wonder about the comic. There was speculation Reiko might be more important to MKX's storyline but I'm doubting that now. Mileena looks like she's definitely a huge threat, possibly the biggest threat.

Sorry to crash the party but your empress is getting killed at the end of the civil war, probably consumed by the amulet. That woman that everyone says is Kitana's alt isn't her alt (we know what her alt looks like, it was shown in the stream), fights against the new generation (so this isn't part of the netherealm war) and wears purple, it looks like Mileena will be tricked and consumed by the amulet and become a revenant in the process.

Her having a great part in the story is cool, but I really hope that will be accommodated by Baraka having a big role as well.

Love that you wanna "crash the party" by assuming how the Story Mode will go. First of all it IS Kitana's alt. Take a look at her concept art, that outfit is right there with her main and alt. So your theory doesn't stand. Plus it's from the scene with Sindel as a revenant so it's safe to assume it is Kitana before she got rescued. And even if it was Mileena (which doesn't even make sense in that specific scene but let's assume it was), what makes you think we'd be mad? She's in the game! That's all I wanted as her fan so I'm happy! Kitana died and she's already back so what's your point?

My point wasn't trying to take the happyness from her being playable, it was pointed to the "EMPRESS" word in the thread title.

And the second printed comic states that the returned heroes are resurrected during the first story arc. Some of them like Sindel (who is in her MK9 outfit sadly eliminating her from the playable roster) won't be lucky and be won't resurrected, but any revenant that is going to be a playable character has to either be resurrected at the beginning to be relevant on the story, or be alive during most of the game before becoming one, and that scene is from later in the game as the next gen squad are all adults.

I don't mind her being playable, she actually looks badass in the trailer, I just think she is going to die while trying to use the amulet to claim the throne and then become a revenant. The thing that is sure is that's not Kitana.
