I keep thinking Jin's voice is Liam O'Brien.

I thought the voice was fine, but his personality was annoying.

I found Kung Jin to be more annoying. I'll take Takeda.

Takeda is like one of the Surf Ninjas dealing with PTSD.

First of all, he's not in any way supposed to be the next Scorpion.

Second you only heard him throw out some snarky quips. You are basing all this on nothing so far.

I think Takeda is awesome, and i think his voice fits his personality. Which is far from bland, if anything he has the most realistic perosnilty(human wise) in the series.

Cyrax, sub-zero, smoke, sektor all were trained togehter and they are all way different.

First of all, I said IF, I never implied he would be the next Scorpion though the scenario would be silly if it did happen. Also, on my first impression I thought being on the run from the Red Dragon and being raised/trained in the Shirai Ryu in the comics that Takeda would have a voice that sounds less goofy than in the intro. Of course I'd have to go through the story mode and conclude whether he's likable or not which has not happened yet so in a way I am assuming too much. I like trying to have an open mind.

Totally agreed with OP, his voice and personality just seemed corny and like they're trying too hard to make him the cool, rebellious student/teeny bopper. He reminded me a lot of Nightwing from Injustice. His game play was sick tho and I see him easily being in the top ten if not higher (way too early to guess I know). Everything from the neck down looks cool, but his face, hair, and bandanna in combination with his voice actor are all just corny as fuck. Overall I have not nearly seen enough of him so I'm not completely convinced his personality and voice suck.

Sounded fine to me. Different than what I expected but not bad by any means. Takeda is one badass motherfucker.

I'll admit I wasn't expecting him to be so cocky, but I can dig it. I just really hope that all of these descendants won't be so....arrogant and continuously talking down to every character. Then it's too much. Cassie, Takeda, and I can already see Jacqui having some twatty comebacks. And let's not forgot the pro - JC.

Raiden, Kitana, and Kung Lao are all being pretty snarky, too. I think it's just because it's supposed to be trash talk.

I was shocked a bit by how young he sounded. I feel he definitely looks older than he sounds.

His gameplay is solid, though. Two totally unique variations and a pseudo-Scorpion (which, in this case, IS understandable).

I just hate his outfit. Too much gun-metal grey. If I use him, it's definitely going to be in an alt.

Takeda's Shirai Ryu mask looks awfully similar to Shadow Jago

...He's essentially a male Cassie. Seriously, the snarky personality, the lame jokes- why does Cassie get a pass and not him?

I really like him so far. He'll probably be my main.

I just knew I had seen his mask somewhere. Now that I think of it, he's very similar to Jago in fighting style as well.

I'm on the fence about this guy Takeda I missed the first half of his gameplay so I'll have to go back and watch but still, what's with the light sabers? As epic as I think it would have been with a different character entirely, he was trained by SCORPION. Where did he get light sabers?? Again it's still pretty cool but NRS has to explain this in story. I want to know!

Oh and I can't with the "Raiden MGS" look. He's really gonna have to grow on me. His X-Ray and Fatality on the other hand is another story. Downright brutal and very gruesome respectively.

Where is Takeda like Jago? I'm honestly curious because other than the mask I see no similarities between the 2.

I think the Cassie comparison might just be a byproduct of him sounding young. All of the intros are kind of snarky, but because he and Cassie seem younger it creates an unfair comparison between the two.

Cassie is close to her dad and fights with her mother. She gets it from Johnny so it's a pass. I'm going to be annoyed if all the students have typical teenage personality
