Is there someone who wants to talk the epic launch of this game, full of content, with a risky roster and excellent online game?
Where are the Sf5 enthusiasts?

I agree MKX had the better launch, regardless if you liked it's roster choices or not. I myself have actually been having a great time with online play, only encountered lag a small handful of times and usually get a match within 1 minute or so....which is better than what I remember about MKX's online at launch.
The offline content is pretty sad. Still surprised they released the game with no basic arcade mode or final boss....kinda a essential for a fighting game.
However, I do think SF5 has a better variety with it's roster. It has a good combination of characters throughout the series. Art style doesn't look too bad either. Looking forward to the DLC characters and story mode update(which should have been included but at least it's free).

You act as if SFV is the only game that had a bumpy launch. Remember how MKX had a really shitty netcode at launch and still has to this date? The one they are reintroducing in March, since they realized everyone was dropping online?
SFV's launch could have been better, yes, given that the game lacks single player content and the servers were a mess even after four beta's. However, the servers are fixed now and content will be added not very long from now. The netcode is excellent, the fighting engine is probably the best SF has ever had (I'm enjoying the shit out of it) and yes, the roster diversity is still ten times better than MKX's.
Still, despite the disappointing launch, SFV hasn't even begun to show its impact. Lets wait a few more months at least, given that Capcom intends to support this game as long as next gen consoles appear.

For me the biggest shocker is that you can't play vs against a cpu? Like why the hell not?
MKX definitely had a better launch, if only because there were things to do when it came out. But on the other hand I can already play SFV online but on the other other hand I can only play online because of the aforementioned lack of content.
Basically I can't preorder or buy games day one ever again.

I do believe SFV was rushed out for EVO and the reason story mode and new characters are free is that they was supposed to be in there for launch. It's a good game but not a complete game.

Have you guys tried survival yet? I know its not quite the same since its one round and you don't get your characters win screen but it is really fun too, and can be quite challenging once you get up there in matches, then add the ability to choose to buy certain buffs or not on top and its pretty damn good.

My previous barb was directed towards all amoing you who yelled: "SF5 will be the better game" and so on.
Quite frankly, I still believe that the promised support for this game will be lackluster and incomplete as well. Maybe within the first year and half the game will receive REAL free support.
After the second year since release, all this will become pay to win, classic DLCs or abandonware.
Mark my words.

Believe me or not, I had almost lagless matches using a shitty 3g tablet connection since day one in MK X. SF5 is a broken, unplayable, lagfest of a game, even online, which is the only thing this game offers and will offer for quite a long time.
Even on his worst days, MKX was a full playable game with single player content.
I don't even wanna hear that bullshit again, "I don't care about offline content" because in the lore of MK arcade endings, story mode and in minor part the krypt, are among the most discussed topics.

What baffles me the most is how some of the SF fans defend it like they're getting paid to lol I was browsing the gamefaqs forum earlier and just smh
If MKX had released this way (16 characters, no arcade mode, vs cpu, have to be online to earn in game currency, constant disconnects even in survival, minimal story etc.) they would be shitting on it sooooo hard lol
I played it again today and did have a blast, but I do think most of the criticisms/complaints are pretty valid.
I already have enough FM for two DLC characters though which is fucking amazing, now I just gotta wait for bae bae waifu <3<3<3 Juri to release and ill be gold :)
And there really wasn't even a grind, beat story mode with each character and do some survival mode (on any difficulty) and bam, enough money for 2 DLC characters without spending a dime, and I haven't even done all the survival modes yet, I have only done like 5 characters survival.

Cause fanboys are the worst. You and everyone else will never be able to reason with them so do not bother. It is a waste of time. Besides nobody is listening to them anyway. User reviews of this game are incredibly negative. The amount of hate this game is getting is incredible. Capcom really dropped the ball here. Reputation of the game is ruined. People are most probably not going to give this game a second glance now which is a shame since the fighting is good. Capcom should have delayed the launch and made it more robust. Also why do you get kicked to the main menu in survival if your connection goes down? Survival is a offline mode so that makes no sense to me. It is like DRM.

Or people are just gonna wait for the content to be released.
LOL! Gamers actually waiting for something. In a world where everything is moving towards on demand and instant access, those patient gamers are going to wait for content and then buy. You will have to forgive me if I do not share that sentiment. The Division is releasing in two weeks and Far Cry Primal next week. By the time content is released people would have moved on. When the story mode gets released Uncharted 4 will have released, so good luck with the waiting theory.

I really don't think story mode is what SF fans care most about considering it's a first for the series. People just want a simple arcade mode and vs cpu training. If SF5 did one thing right it's the character dlc pack which is a shit-ton better than MKX's combined. That's what I'm most hyped about.

It only took me 4 hours to beat the lame story and survival mode with everybody.
I only spent $20 to get the game. If I had paid $60 I would have felt ripped off.
Game is so strpped down it's walk for even a beta
I do have enough in game money to unlock all the DLC Characters in just 4 hours and that includes the game freezing and terrible net code disconnects

Well, so much for the "Taking risk" side of things. Well maybe Capcom did take some risks, but not very good ones. So many "half" AAA titles being released, usually I'm on the side of "less DLC", but there should be some sort of major petition that will tell major companies to release full games on the starting date or at least release what seems like a full game, that way incoming DLC will seem more like bonuses rather than something that should've been there to start with...yeah I'm talking opinions that have been around for years, but with the Star Wars Battlefront shenanigans, so many anticipated games nowadays are more style no substance....disappointing.

I have read that the game was originally supposed to come out in March, but Capcom wanted to have the game out in time for people to have a little practice with it for the Capcom Pro Tour, so they decided to release the game a month early and patch in the stuff they didn't finish for free later, in March.

Pretty much like taking a baby out of the womb after 7 months of pregnancy just to let the parents improve their parenthood with extra two months of training.

Not quite lol taking a baby out of the womb two months early could lead to actual problems. Releasing a game a bit early and patching every thing else in later for free is no problem if people could have a little patience. Canceling the Pro Tour would probably have hurt them more than releasing the game early.

Kinda weird SFV lacks arcade mode. What about practice mode? nevertheless SFV looks great and from what i have heard it plays great to. I think that is most important eventually. Also did they add some cool stuff when you play online like winning streaks and first to 5.
In the end, SFV will get supported 3 years atleast. It will end good, no doubt. Im sure Capcom early released SFV (basic version) for the Pro-players and to balance the game better overall. Hate towards SFV now makes no sense now.
