Seriously, I like the cheesy aspects of MK, but Shinnok's was just the weird kind of cheesy, not the entertaining kind.

Really, I love Shinnok, but something about him in this was off. The whole embracing death thing felt overdone and as if they didn't know what other kind of dialogue to give him. I know I've said this before, but that calm, eerie, smug old man from Mythologies was my favorite version of him.

Taven and Daegon look bad-fucking-ass in Kenshi's ending. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I hope Kenshi's ending winds up being canon. I didn't like Daegon too much, but Taven was alright. It'd also get rid of a cliche "I want revenge" story for Takeda before they can even try giving it to him and he can do something interesting.

Agreed. I kinda hope it's part of the story for the next game, maybe bring in Taven and hunt down Daegon for the Special Forces that way it would appease both sides of the SF plot and a revenge plot for either Kenshi, Takeda or both.

I mean, I'll just go back and play Trilogy/Armageddon/MK9 if I want to use Rain ( which I probably will anyway), but it's still a shame he's not playable with how goddamn cool he looks and how nice his effects are. His AI was even pulling off some decent combos with what limited abilities he had, being unfinished and all.
