I honestly love Ferra. I find her wiley violent spazzy firecracker personality hilarious. But I often gravitate toward characters like that.

She'll probably be one of the first Arcade Ladders I'll complete, and I plan to play her and Torr enough to at least get a feel for if I like them (then maybe more).

Though I agree, their lack of story presence makes them likely to be yet another 1 and done forgotten character for this franchise, as with so many other new characters.

True, look at Bo'Rai'Cho. While he may be a very well liked character these days- was so fucking controversial back when he was in Deadly Alliance lol. Despite that controversy they still brought him back for MKD.

I've really grown to like Ferra/Torr over the time they were introduced. At first they were my least favorite to be shown at E3, but the more I see gameplay and the way they interact with each other, the more I grew to like them. I hope they return for future installments sooner rather than later.

Their second fatality is the best.

Well Takeda and Jacqui's stories are pretty much tied together now, since they're clearly love interests by the end of story. I'm not saying that GUARANTEES either of them, but it certainly helps eithers chances if the other is in.

Honestly all four of them are likely for a sequel... I think that was kind of the whole point of this game

A sequel would probably be: Liu/Kitana/Raiden as villains. Scorpion and Sub-Zero obligatory. Perhaps Reptile and Ermac again for more ninja presense, but perhaps not (they can be taken or left). The 4 kids + Kotal as returning newbies. Maybe Erron again since he's gotten positive reaction from fans. Probably some new heroes and some new villains. And maybe a returning face or two from a past game who wasn't in MKX (Noob, Cyrax, Shang. The big ones who got overlooked this time around. Even Frost, if they wanted Sub-Zero to have his own youngling).

Probably cameos from Johnny, Sonya and Jax, but no playable presence anymore. The torch has been passed.

Not really, they are too popular not to be in the next one, specially Johnny and Sonya. Sonya is actually one of Ed's favorites, he said so in an interview. I bet Kano, Quan Chi and Shang Tsung are as well, they are not very popular so someone up there as to like them, they show up in nearly every game.

Besides they are among the original 7, those guys and the MK2 cast aren' t going anywere, just look how they found a way to make Kitana, Kung Lao and Liu Kang playable in this one.

And then there is also the fact that nome of the family members plays like the other. If Cassie is replacing someone it's Stryker.
