I really don't blame Raiden for Kung Lao's. Raiden really hadn't made many stupid calls yet by that point in the story. Kung Lao got killed because he was doing needless showboating with his back turned to a dangerous and dishonorable opponent. Kung Lao's death was his own damn fault.

I don't even totally blame him for the rest tbh. I mean in the end Raiden still turns out to be RIGHT... he just takes his sweet ass time getting around to figuring out the exact circumstances.

Raiden wasn't around when the big Sindel massacre happened. What's he supposed to do, hold every fighter's hand in a war? How the hell did like 7 people get taken out by one damn chick anyway? How was he supposed to know they'd suck so hard.

And if Liu Kang had just friggin' listened to him, he'd still be alive. I mean Raiden wasn't WRONG on that rooftop. Liu Kang was just stubborn and stupid.

I feel like a lot of people were salty at Raiden when MK9 was still fresh in our eyes, because we were bummed to see so many of our favorites go, but now that a few years have passed and I can look back on it without the sting of them dying fresh in my mind... I'm cutting him more slack about it. Wtf else was he supposed to do? He was still right. Kahn still needed to win the shortterm to lose longterm.

Maybe the heroes wouldn't have died if they'd have sucked a little less.

Story mode has been FANTASTIC. Chapter 2 was great, got to see Tanya and Rain in action.

Kitana doesn't seem to be trying to free Edenia now. Actually who knows what she wants because she's still a revenant. I'm sure both Tanya and Rain have ulterior motives as well.

What I really want to know is why this "accord" has Reiko's name. I mean, that guy's an unscrupulous asshole. Wasn't Kotal Kahn the one who wanted peace between both realms?

If it's a non-violence pact between Sonya's people and Kotal's people, I'd assume it's named FOR Reiko, not by Reiko. I don't see how Ego would have anything to do with it. I doubt Reiko was responsible for creating such a pact himself.

Maybe it has something to do with the events currently unfolding in the comic book. (The plot of which is supposed to predate the events we're currently seeing in-game.)
