Point is- Yes, that leak could have been correct. Or it could have just been a close estimate and we could still have a few more characters left to join.

What is seeming "likely" doesn't matter, there's room for speculation as nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet.

We can't state what will be until we actually know for ourselves. Which will be soon. Until then- Let people speculate and stop throwing that supposed "leaked" list at people like scripture.

This is a weird one for me, I really like the first four new characters revealed. I could definitely live without the other power rangers on Cassie's team.

One argument is that MK9 did a lot of good for characters gameplay wise and because of that they could be retired for a game or two, but I scream wasted oppurtunity.

Why do characters like Smoke, Sektor, Cyrax and Kabal need to be relegated to DLC? They're just a few of my favorites for an example, but they have so much story to be told.

I get it, business model is supply and demand. People want those sorts of characters so they'll buy them additionally. It's a shame that there story will be truncated.

Maybe Smoke will join the Special Forces instead of Cyrax this time [while Cyrax joins the White Lotus Society like his 9 ending] It would be good for Smoke to get away from Sub-Zero if he is revived.

This is exactly it. It makes complete sense, because he went through his entire life with those memories locked away. His MK9 ending states that he returned to a human form after the slaughter in his childhood, "remembering nothing". He lived his whole life believing himself to be human.

I'd love to see Cage's gregarious nature used for team accruing.

Speculate, hope, discuss, do whatever you like. That's what we're here for. I'm just telling you the unfortunate reality is, the leaked list is final. That's not a prediction, it's a spoiler. I don't like it either, but it sucks to see everyone grasp at every little sign, when it always leads to the same outcome...disappointment and/or anger.

That's not me trying to kill anyone's hopes, excitement, or raining on the parade... I just think all signs point to a specific direction, and NRS has said or done nothing to push this belief of more characters beyond that.

If I'm wrong, by all means I'll be the first to admit, take ownership, and be the happiest man in doing so knowing we got more than what's on the leaked roster. I'd love to get Fujin, Smoke, Reiko, Rain etc. But it's clear what's happening here.

As for a source? Anybody that's in the actual know, isn't going to come out and give themselves away and shoot themselves in the foot like that. So I wouldn't expect a confirmation 'til the game itself is leaked. But the evidence is strongly favoring one side, and that evidence coincides with the leaked list. If there were more, why wouldn't anyone who actually knows something, NRS member, tester, or someone with an in-source, say otherwise? And no, I don't buy into that dude on twitter who used click bait answers that contradicted themselves with uncertainty, and has faded into obscurity as a legitimate reason to give hope.

They leak thus far seems true, New costumes don't mean instant confirmation, as of now. The leak seems to be on point, So it seems to be true.

Is there any proof that it is? Well so far everything in it has been true, so it's more real than your fan fantasy of characters making it in.

I would be SOOO HAPPY if it's wrong, but as of no there is no proof it's wrong and no proof it's right, but it's like the Kuai Liang situation, Everything but everybody including me still thought there is a chance it might be Bi-Han.

You really need to learn the difference between something that may seem likely to you in light of available evidence, and something actually confirmed as fact.
Unless you have an inside source confirming this for you, you really need to ease up on the certainty with which you speak about this because it's coming off a little arrogant and rude.

Probably the opposite. Dying and descending to the Netherealm probably opened his eyes to what he was for the first time, but his demonic nature (remember, they call the Enenra 'a demon' in his ending) likely makes it that much easier for a sorcer like Quan Chi to control him.

Quan Chi has been shown as a manipulator and creator of various creatures in the Netherealm; he's been shown to have influence over Oni demons, wraiths, and specters of all kinds. Enenra are simply one more species he can easily exert his power over.

Dude is a wet blanket. He jumps down everyone else's throats for disagreeing and have a different opinion but yet he's perfectly fine with speaking with 100% certainty because in his mind he's right and that's all there is to it.

Also, I'm no delusional fanboy. I felt fairly certain the leaked roster was it, it was final and that it's all we are getting just a couple weeks back. Things I have seen over the past few days(like what is going on in the comic) have changed my mind. I think there is a decent chance now that the roster that was leaked wasn't finalized.

Unless folks have some sort of inside source they need to stop acting like others are somehow stupid or delusional for not having made up their mind firmly one way or another. This is a gray area still at this point.

Yeah that makes sense, But I hoped we would see more of Human Smoke helping Earthrealm. Don't get me wrong, I want to see more of his Enenra side, But not at the expense of him going full evil. True he didn't do much in MK9 but I just liked him as human fighting with the Earthrealm warriors.

I guess we will see tomorrow but if he still has a mask then he is still a ninja as opposed to an enenra demon, I think. Unless he has that weird mask from MKD.

While I get where you're coming from and agree that list is accurate, there are still several things nagging at me. Those being;

- Secret characters. There's tons of shit in this game so is it beyond the realm of possibility that there are hidden fighters like last go around? It's possible.

- Sub-boss/Boss. We still have no clue who these are and if they are playable/unplayable.

- The more unlikely option of character unlockables via cross platforming with the mobile game. They didn't come out and deny it in an interview I read today, they kept it vague which leaves it 50/50.

I 100% without a doubt think that is the roster we have, but the question isn't whether or not its accurate... the REAL question is whether there's secretive shit we'll have to unlock and in what capacity that secret stuff is. I think that's the more logical question we should be asking ourselves here instead of debating the initial roster. There is also still the Tower; these characters in Story have updated costumes, perhaps they could make them fight-able opponents since Towers will be changing daily?

If I had an inside source, would it matter? Would I come right out and say it? Would you even believe me if I did say it? If I don't have physical proof to back it up if I did say it? Ok, here: I've spoken to someone with a legit source. They seem to believe the leaked roster is legit.

Regardless of any of that, a source that would likely have the inside knowledge due to his connections with other testers...leaked info. Believe it, or not, is up to you. But that's the closest thing we have to a legitimate source we have to go by as of this moment, so I don't see why we'd error on the opposing side of that? That's all. Especially when disappointment is the result if it turns out correct.

I don't think he is just talking about this thread specifically, I know Cyborg might be your friend from a long time but the guy isn't that great. I argued with him a couple of times, The guy is as thick as a stone wall and thinks like a 13 year old would... Trust me I know.

This; and the fact Boon & co said the roster was "30-ish characters" and the starting roster is at "least as big as MK9's if not a little bigger, and obviously DLC will follow". I don't doubt the "leaked roster" (fan prediction) was spot on and will prove true for every character mentioned on it but I'd trust the word of the game makers more saying it's at least as big as MK9's than I will the word of a person not much different to any other fan who has no inside source.

I totally get it. The thing about the MK9 ending is that it was really ambiguous over what Smoke thought of himself with all of these memories unlocked. We won't know for certain how much of his behavior is his own until he's freed from Quan Chi's control, if that ever happens.

A lot of people have become used to thinking of that huge demon in his ending as his Enenra form; but they also describe him as 'shapeless' - he can appear how he wishes to appear. He can very well be both ninja-esque an an enenra at the same time.
