So maybe Story Pack could be Sindel, Rain, Fujin and Sareena (or Li Mei/Frost). Double up on female characters due to the lack of them in this pack, finally shut the Rain fans up, finally give Fujin his due. Lotta birds, one pack. Only way it would ever happen is if people make a lot of noise for it. Injustice 2 time is rolling in.

Me too. Which also makes me doubt Sindel or Rain ever getting in to it either. If they threw one of their Story Mode NPCs out of the boat (and arguably the most popular one), it leaves little hope that a Story Pack will ever see the light of day with the other two. At least then this game would go out on some kind of high- It would suck for the last thing to ever be released for this game would be fucking Leatherface or lazy ass Barakalien. Just release the last story mode characters (Fujin/Li Mei/Rain/Sindel) and simply call it a day. But I doubt it- It has taken them this long to do KP2 (we still don't know when in 2016 it'll be released) that if they did a KP3 we probably wouldn't get it until late next year and by then no one would give a shit. Hell, it's hard to give a shit now.
Several people have moved on and have their minds on other things. I don't know why they couldn't have just made KP2 one giant pack with 8 characters(The 2 guests, Bo, Triborg, and 4 story characters.) It still would've been release sometime in 2016 and most of the fanbase would've been satisfied, well, at least more than they are now.
