posted03/09/2015 05:10 PM (UTC)bycolt1107Ok there's been a ton of people on the fence about this Retcohfuck. And really there still will be after this chapter. Not much has been answered in the regard of why Tobias' original story of Mytholgies was changed. But we do get a sense that Chaos realm is involved more than ever in this issue as a possessed Raiden takes on Scorpion and Takeda he tells them "Chaos is coming to earthrealm and I am it's--". Scorpion cuts him off by teleporting and seems to take away the kamidogu it appears Raiden stabs himself with(not quite sure on this). It could be the sword Takeda had back stabbed him with but the angle is off the with the hilt coming out the front of Raiden.
Some cool art portraying Scorpion and Quan Chi battling Liu Kang from the previous game. Another scene portraying Scorpion upper cutting Raidens Champion Johnny Cage during the netherrealm invasion and Scorpion is also in his MK9 attire. He regains his humanity sometime in between but still seems to be fighting beside Quan Chi. We don't see when he switches sides. Maybe next issue we will get more information.

Most important part for me is the first panel after what was shown in the preview. Scorpion is spitting hell fire over presumably Bi Han (completely covered in flame) who is shouting "It wasn't me. Noooo!" Quan Chi is standing behind. Pretty much the scene from MK9.

Ugh! The preview was half the damn komic! I need more! I am so glad the other two chapters come out this wednesday.
So kool that Scorp gets to play dad with Takeda, it helps makes up for what he lost with Jubei.
I'm almost sure this blood demon is Havik now.

That's very telling as well but I think most of us know by now Bi-Han had no part in the murder of Scorpions family and clan.
I think Scorpion Teleported Takeda to the Netherrealm to save him from Raiden. He's too green to be able to absorb too many of those shocks from the Thunder God. Now he's probably in hell while Scorpion fights Raiden alone near the Temple. Which I don't know what's worse. Surrounded by demons or fighting a possessed God? Oh and who is in control of the Netherrealm now that Shinnok is trapped in the amulet? Quan Chi?

Cool issue. I like where this story is going. As for Mythologies being different, it seems all but official from things the writer has said that we are in an alternate universe for MK9 - forward. I'm totally cool with that.

Great comic love the attention to detail with scorps old costumes during the flashback these comics just get better and better!
What's everyone think about another blatant reference to chaos??? Has to be something to do with Havik doesn't it? If not it is one hell of a red herring! All I can think of other then Havik and chaos realm is a ploy by someone from order realm to release this chaos demon into earth then to come in and save the day only to take control of earth for them self............ But that's a bit far fetched I am betting on Havik being the big bad maybe Havik and Noob combined like noobs MK9 ending!

I enjoyed this issue a lot but cringed hard at "gimme that" and what was with Kenshi's face?

As someone who's been saying, "It's Havik" since the first issue, I'm pleased to see it's getting harder and harder to deny.
Many "I told you so"-s shall rain down from the sky.

I really think Kittleson/NRS wanted it to be like this, in order to get people talking. Judging by the other thread about this chapter it sure as hell worked. Mytholgoies is the most extensive piece of lore when it comes to MK. No way they'd toss it aside.
I also noticed that they're doing that storyline where Kenshi meets a bad character and helps turn them good, but they're doing it with Scorpion instead of Ermac. I'm 50/50 on whether I like that or not.

Good issue but I'm bothered by the fact there was no reference to the Kano/Erron Black vs. Mavado fight from last issue.

The comics have a tendency to circle back to plot points started earlier on. They'll come back to it eventually.

It'll probably be in the next chapter, so we'll see it Wednesday in Issue#4. I'm rooting for Mavado to survive. LoL.

Noob Saibot is ruler of the netherrealm and he (along with Havik) most likely played some part in the Netherrealm wars as well.

Ha! And I shall bask in it. If he is the surprise boss, I hope he'll be playable ala Superman in Injustice.
I'm not gonna lie, got super excited when Raiden said "Chaos is coming to Earthrealm."
