Sonya/Jax were partners. As in a professional sense. And becoming romantically involved would be pretty unprofessional. Do platonic relationships not exist to you?

No it was really Johnny because during the next few seconds, after Quan Chi stabs Kenshi, Ermac levitates Quan Chi off the pyramid and he stomps on Kenshi and he teleports into Shang Tsung himself
