Are Tanya and Mileena bisexual? Yes

Are Kung Jin and D'Vorah gay? Yes.

Are they better examples of GLBT diversity than Hsu Hao was? Absolutely. Hsu Hao had no characterization other than looking like a pretty offensive gay stereotype. He was despised by the fanbase and completely irredeemable. Neatherrealm listened to the fans and gave us better characters.

I to this day have yet to understand why people think Hsu Hao is a homosexual stereotype lol I have always hated him but that was never why considering it never came to mind.

Tanya was originally an Edenian Diplomat`s daughter, betraying her realm by letting Shinny n Quan in, under the guise of refugees. Coupled with her ending, betraying Liu. Since then, people have had an image of her as a scheeming, backstabbing Cleopatra type. Sex was one of Cleo`s weapons. This just solidifies her character even more.

While that hat is easy to mistake having no idea about such stuff, your analogy is incorrect.

This is unrealeated to Tanya but I was playing MK Tournament Edition for GBA and one of Mavados unlockable pallete swaps is called "Pride"and its very um... stereotypical to say the least. While this is obviously a joke in the game I would still like to consider Mavado the first gay MK character.

I thought Tanya was bisexual. Just doing what would advance her goals basically.

Actually, it was kind of both together in his design. Hsu Hao managed to be a gay Asian stereotype. In fact, his skin was a bright saturated yellow. It's like the devs asked themselves, "how do we alienate as many gay and Asian players as possible" and it worked. He's regarded as the absolute worst MK fighter of all time.

And there is no way that I ever viewed Liu or Johnny as gay. The only characters I can see in a same-sex relationship are Kung Jin, D'Vorah, Tanya, Mileena, Ermac and Sheeva. The latter two are just speculation on my part but Sheeva seems incredibly butch and Ermac is composed of multiple souls, both male and female.

I also feel that Raiden, Fujin and Shinnok are queer characters but in a different way. The three of them strike me as asexual since I can't imagine a truly superior eternal being having any need for an intimate relationship. They don't really see the point in it.

@zanegirardmene Tanya uses any method to get what she wants. I dona39;t think ita39;s anything more than that. Same w Mileena.
