I wasn't told. So my disappointment was warranted.

I don't like Rain and his omission isn't keeping me up nights. But I am disappointed for the Rain fans whose hopes were just crushed, because the same fate could befall my fave(s).

Hate the character all you want but give those guys a little respect.

There's a difference between plain logic and over analyzing. Nobody over analyzed Boon's tweets or took them as confirmation that Rain was gonna be in the game. It was just surprising how much attention he was getting lately and it seemed that he could have a place in the game, so obviously his fans became hopeful. I don't find anything silly in all this.

And that's why I unfollowed Boon on Twitter this week. I finally got tired of all his crap. Why get fans' hopes up by teasing a character to death and then pull the rug out?



What on earth does Kenshi have to do with this?

Boon said that because Rain was a DLC in MK2011 his chance of being in MKX DLC is SLIM/Limited.

So that means that Scarlet, Kenshi and Freddy also have a very small chance to appear in the game because they were all DLC in MK2011, if we go by that pathetic logic.

Boon is a Rain hater, period. That reason to have rain out of MKx is the most pathetic, annoying and stupid reason I have ever heard, especially if other DLC characters like Kenshi DO make it into MKx.

Possibly referencing the interview where Boon says Rain has less of a chance for this game because he was dlc for mk9(as was Kenshi).

I'm personally not disappointed. Got a few interviews, another great trailer and Kano came out of the whole thing looking like a damn G. I call that a win personally. All eyes to PAX.

I am more than dissappointed. The Kano reveal had to have been a leak because we were all promised new info at gamescom. It didn't come..

NOT EVEN GAMEPLAY which really posses me off. I wanted to see the updated build of the game and compare it e3. AND study raiden and Kano gameplay. I'm pissed honestly.

PS if anyone has gameplay footage. Please share. I have been scouring the Internet to no avail.

If his logic ends up keeping Skarlet and Freddy out of the game, then I'm all for it.

Anyway, I think Rain was put into MK9 as DLC probably just to get all the Trilogy characters into the game (thank you, Quan Chi) and not necessarily because fans were clamoring for him. Unfortunately with the few reported MKX roster spots available for the veterans, he's simply the odd man out. Being a latecomer (and, yes, a joke addition) to the series hasn't helped either.

I said ANALYZING, which is what they were doing. They were examining his tweets and interpreting them as hints that could lead to a possible confirmation. Whether they were doing it in excess or not is irrelevant to me.

Skarlett and freddy have 0 chance of being in. Boon said freddy was out 2 months ago. And skarlett was a bone throw to an old myth. Not a real character.

Rain apparently is not a real character either. It just sucks. I see a lot of potential in him.

PS. Anyone find gamescom gameplay? I expected leaked footage by now.

Still not analyzing. How can you even "analyze" a tweet. They were not even cryptic, or hints like when Boon does stuff like the "Shocking reveal of Raiden". There was nothing to analyze about a bunch of Rain fanart. It was just people being surprised at how much Boon tweeted about a character we all thought he hated in the past. That and his good sales in MK9 made his fans hope that he is gonna be in the game. That is just plain logic.
Which is exactly what most people do with Boon's tweets about different characters. Whether that is Kitana, Ermac, Reptile. No need to call Rain fans silly for being hopeful about his inclusion

Are you throwing random words out there to justify what you originally said? Coz you are seriously making no sense whatsoever. It's still different than hoping your character makes it in the game.
Anyway, the words you use for people that just love a character are a bit uncalled for. Pathetic? Laughable? If anything, that's exaggerating. So much hate and negativity all of a sudden for no reason :S

I think he will be in AND i like him as a character but other characters that were not in MK9 or new ones deserve a chance.

The only character That i hope return from MK9 is Ermac.

Li Mei's chances of being in the game off the bat are pretty slim.

The tweets about Rain were re-tweets from Boon, only commenting on art work and such. Nothing was merely directed to Rain being in the game.

As for Kenshi, I don't mind him, but, I would like to have Ermac instead.

Lot of people were talking about multiple Reptile and Ermac retweets. All they were, were his comments on mostly mediocre fan art.

But in retrospect, the "Purple Monkey" tweet was particularly cruel because it was an obvious Rain reference.

I think we should all lower our expectations for MKX itself and prepare ourselves for disappointment on release day.

I wouldn't go that far, but if you want to sustain that feeling for about a year, be my guest.

The chances of getting Tanya, Fujin, Reiko and Havik are very slim.

I'm guessing we get very limited chacters from the 3D area, I think Shinnok, Quan Chi and Kenshi will be the only ones.

Then Ermac, Noob, Smoke, Liu Kang, Reptile, Sonya, Jax, Cyrax and Cage for the old returning ones.
