Siro, Tasia, Kiri, Vorpax, Omegis Conquest.

Its really a shame and strange they named her Vorpax and gave her Jade's colors, it would have been so cool to see Tanya (which already excisted while the series were made) in her place with the same actress and same behavior and role.
I just ignore the name Vorpax and call her Tanya. :-p

Funny you say that, back in the day fans were actually petitioning Tracy Douglas(Vorpax) to take on the role of Tanya in an MK3 movie. Lol, you know, back when everyone thought MK3 would happen.

I remember when people were wanting Conquest characters in Armageddon LOL
I'm pissed at Riyakou. He kept thinking D'Vora would be a re-imagined Vorpax and now every time I think of D'Vora I sometimes call her Vorpax.
I do wish they would just use the name Vorpax for someone. It's a bitching cool name.

I liked Conquest too so I wouldn't mind seeing them in if they ever did a portion of Story Mode [or Shaolin Monks style game] based on the Great Kung Lao's time.

It's doubley strange considering they gave Kitana a dark skinned best friend who turned out to be a traitor loyal only to herself. Why not just make her Jade or Tanya you know? Same thing happend in that horrid cartoons called Defenders of the Realms.
There a traiter was called Ruby, which also could have been Jade.
Something about Jade just pisses off the non-canon mortal kombat directors and their cartoons and series... she is always replaced by others.

Quote: No. I would hate it.
Why? They had terrible names, awful design, and worked in a completely different timeline.
Am I sure? Absolutely. There're more interesting characters from the games that need to return. And NRS has fresh ideas for brand new characters. So... do the math. end of Quote
Terrible names? Awful design? Are we talking about the same Mortal Kombat Conquest that is the ONLY piece of MK media with a coherent plot and outlined characters? I know that the acting was bad sometimes but they did great with the budget they had. Adoni Marophis as Quan Chi and Jeff Meek as both Shao Kahn and Raiden were amazing!
Worked in a completely different timeline? Many MK characters are thousands of years old and the series was set just 500 years in the past. Siro and Taja would be the only ones hard to explain, they're basically Johnny Cage and Sonya of 500 years ago. Kiri could be Khameleon (they never really specified how long do saurians live). Omegis would be great for Shang Tsung's arc. Unfortunately, Ankha is dead as she was mostly a help for Kiri. D'Vorah is the new kreeyan. Quan Chi gets tired of his b****** every few hundreds of years and gets new ones! Qali is definitely Tanya, already getting involved in black magic with Quan Chi. I believe that Shao Kahn's rule over Edenia came with a new religion (him as God Emperor) and many were forced to change their names, like is common habit on Earth when someone changes religion. After Shao Kahn bites the dust, she assumes her Edenian name again (boldly: "My name is Tanya!"). That's why we know her as such in MK4. Mortal Kombat Conquest was amazing, the best thing that happened to this franchise!

Nah, let the Conquest characters stay in the Conquest series.
WWhat on earth does this topic doing back?
Like Shao Kahn would say;
A Traitor? Dead.
Two Sorcerers? Dead.
A Queen? Dead.
My Daughter... A Princess? Dead.
A Thief? Dead.
A Royal Guard? Dead.
A Champion? Dead.
MK Conquest? Dead.
THIS TOPIC? FINISHED. DEAD. DESTROYED.

Sure, if you say so. Heh.
The topic keeps coming back because many MK fans loved the show. Apparently, so did Ed Boon and the NRS team because D'Vorah is definitely based on a kreeyan. Bo'Rai'Cho was inspired by Master Cho from the series and Shang Tsung was given the same back-story in the games (champion of Earthrealm corrupted by Shao Kahn's promises).
Simply put, the show created a Mortal Kombat world that is enjoyable to explore. It was a lot better than the current Legacy , infinitely better than Annihilation (which I refuse to take into consideration and consider movie canon) and, in my humble opinion, better than the first MK movie.

I'm probably the only one who found the animated series more entertaining than Conquest.
Considering who opened it, probably.

I'd say both shows have exactly two episodes worth seeing each and the entire rest of both series are pure shit.
Conquest's two is the "Master Cho" episode for making Shang Tsung's backstory a bit more interesting, and the final episode for the Raiden vs. Kahn fight.
DotR's is the Rain episode and the Cyber-Smoke episode, for giving Liu Kang and the Cyber Initiative storyline respectively more depth than the games, MK9 included, have managed to so far.
Are we seriously comparing a stupid cartoon that was meant for retarded MK fans (cause the franchise is definitely not for kids) with a series as good as MK Conquest? Only 2 episodes worth seeing from Conquest? I watched it all in one day. When I began I didn't think it would be great, but it got me hooked and I wanted to see more and more. Sure, the fight scenes were low-budget and silly and the acting was sometimes wooden, but I remember that 20 years ago I was reading the MK bios and endings in the games, imagining their back-stories and wondering what could be behind those simple sentences on the screen. That's what MK Conquest did great, it opened up an entire universe where those characters plotted and fought, lived and died.

You can be very mean too, and rather unnecessarily so.
