I think MK has always done enough but not too much when it comes to skimpiness.

I would hate it to become solely a T&A game like that horrific looking Dead or Alive Paradise (which is pretty much computer porn).

Mileena's MKD alt was defo the most revealing I think. It didnt seem outta place tho I thought.
Now if sindel came out in a thong and nipple tassles that would be random and too much lol.

MK seems pretty tame when compared to other fighting games when it comes to whoring up their girls. With that said I like the look they have gone with. There is enough skin for the male demographic, but it is also a look that makes me take them seriously a warriors. That's all I'm going to say becuse this isn't a topic I should be thinking too deeply about, and I think there is more important things to discuss.

Why don't they work on making the girls look like girls from the neck up, maybe then we can move on to attractive bodies.

MK is actually one of the worst when it comes to oversexualizing females. People like to talk about DOA, Tekken, whatever as being perverted for having the girls wearing mini-skirts (and the subsequent panty shots) yet won't acknowledge the leotards, bikinis, spandex, and half dresses the MK girls wear. It's kind of silly honestly.

In the end whether or not you're for or against it, here it is...if it fits the character then why not? Kitana's one piece bathing suit/leotard worked fine I guess as an assassin but as royalty? No fucking way. Sonya may be an exhibitionist off duty but on duty again, no fucking way. On the flip side characters like Mileena and Kira are doing just fine with the stuff they're wearing.

When it comes to alternates or extra costumes then whatever. Go wild. Main costumes should reflect the character and who they are.

Should these characters have sexy outfits?:

Jade- YES! A revealing sexy mini battle dress with light armor .

Mileena- YES! The clothes she usually wears.

Sonya- Yes but not too sexy. Just something similar to what she wore in the previous MK movies.

Kitana- Depends. Something that will make her look more royal than just a bathing suit/leotard.

Sindel- Same thing as Kitana.

Tanya- Yes. Make her look like a punk too. I mean look at Rihanna's videos, "Disturbia" and "Hard". Tanya should somehow have that kind of image.

Sheeva- Yes. Make her look more tribal with a centaur skull as her hat.

Nitara- YES! She needs to dress up into something different though. She needs to wear some kind of dress and not just the thong. She also should put her wings away and just spread them when she performs a certain special move.

Frost- Depends. Make her wear an icy minidress or have her clothes be covered in ice as armor.

Sareena- Yes. Just upgraded versions of her recent outfits will do.

Ashrah- No. However, her outfits should be more feminine and less baggy.

Li Mei- Yes.One outfit in a bikini again and another outfit that will make her look a little more innocent.

Soul Calibur jumped the shark with girls in sexy outfits. Holy Crap Ivy had ridiculous proportions in that game.

I dunno I always thought that the leotards looked stupid especially Cammy in Street Fighter. What the fuck kind of Marine wears a Leotard and heavy boots for fighting/war attire?

Kitana and Sindel are fine, and Mellinas prmiary costume in MKD were fine but costumes like her alternate were a little over the top

I'd like the characters to dress more for function than fashion. With that said, it doesn't mean that the female characters can't dress sexy. They just shouldn't be stupid about what they wear. Not everyone is the same.

I think the outfits are fine. I personally have never heard anyone but hardcore MK fans discuss the so called "revealing" outfits- good or bad.

I don't think the outfits are too bad. I definitely think they could be given more individuality and that they should flow from the character, though. Kitana should probably be updated to reflect her new position as the diplomat of a realm. Jade could be wearing some sort of armour as she represents the militant side of Edenia.

Kira and Mileena are fine. I don't know why, but I've always thought of Mileena as the type of girl who would show off her body to detract from her face. I can understand why people want Sonya to cover-up, and I can agree with it for storyline reasons, but you have to understand that she always has been and always will be "the sexy blonde." They could give her a less revealing alt, but I think her primary will be her wearing less baggage. But hey, they could at least make her off-duty.

Hot babes is a big part of the appeal of videogames, movies and stuff. Ladies like eye candy too. For me MK isn't supposed to be super serious. It's supposed to be awesome and escapist and fun.

My fave lady "looks" are Sonya's PS2 era alternate, both Kitana's costumes from the same games, and Kira's alt. I'm not too bothered about the acreage of flesh on show, it's more about style.

In a perfect world, I'd love for the MK team (hell, most game makers) to realize that there are other types of sexy than barely covered triple D's bouncing all over the screen. As Vash_15 said, the MK team needs to start with the faces.

Why in the world does Sonya have man face in MK vs DC? Aren't we beyond those graphical issues now? Check out her bio picture in MK vs DC. Giant boobs and man face. Then you see in her picture ending, she's got the flowing long hair, the soft skin, angular face, pouty lips, etc. Not to overanalyze (too late), but this picture looks ten times better than her bio. Why is that?

So yeah, for me, it starts with the face. Fix the faces and then you go in to the outfits. For me, there shouldn't be any skank looking characters that look like they just walked off of an S & M porn set. Show a little here and there, maybe have one or two of the ladies in a flowing type of outfit that maybe gives a glimpse of this or that, without just putting them in a thong and sending them in to fight to the death.

I'd prefer the outfits and the sexuality in general to be more subtle. A woman has more bullets in her chamber than dressing in a tiny bit of leather and the sooner the MK team and the video game world realize that, the closer we'll get to a world where video game women aren't the wide eyed, skinny simpletons with huge knockers.

Anyway, I think primary costumes should be less sexy and more functional (Mileena probably the only exception) and alternate ones could be more eye catchy. Though however, for characters like Ashrah I would go for a more serious look in both, her primary and alternate costumes.

What should a sexy costume look like? I think Jade's MKD primary is a perfect example, it's sexy, but I wouldn't say it's slutty. It's just smooth.

Khameleon- Yes. She should dress up like Kiri from the TV series Mortal Kombat: Conquest. Some reptile-skinned (like crocodile skin or snake skin) bikini, leotard, or mini battle dress would fit her.
Kira- Yes. Sexy outfits for Kira. Her primary outfit should be bottomless leather chaps and some kind of leather or lace underwear with a leather corset and this time a long ponytail for her hair. Her alternate outfit should be a red skirt (or black and red checkered color skirt), a black midriff top, her pigtails for her hair, knee- high socks, and matching heels. (I got that idea from one of the prostitutes in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.)

Not. They're fighters, warriors, not lingerie models. If you want the latter, I suggest a Victoria's Secret catalog for you.
It's really rediculous what video games have turned women, of ANY genre of game, into. No strength, no power, no subtlety. Just polygons shaped into hunks of raw flesh in high-heels that teenagers drool over. Anymore, it's just annoying.

Nitara is another character that I don't think needs to be really clothed if she returns. Not for "sex appeal" (although some people think of it that way, I guess), but just because it could the vampiric culture. It could a style that sets her apart from other characters who are properly clothed, or whatever.

And sexy can come in many different forms. Kitana represents the sort of "beautiful yet deadly" appeal that has become a huge part of pop-culture. While I wouldn't say she should go to wearing business suits or anything, I don't think you need her wearing lingerie or anything. Something sleek, sharp yet elegant would work fantastic for her. Whereas, sleek and elegant are the last things I think of when I think of Mileena. I think we are entering an age of graphics where you could put both girls in black, but still distinguish between them based entirely on their style of clothing. I mean, ideally.

The more I think about it, the more I think Sonya could find appeal in the proper military garb that people suggest she wears. I mean, think of some actresses. Not to sound like a dog, but you find yourself lusting after them in some roles, but there are some girls that just don't take off clothing. An interesting one is Zooey Deschanel. A gorgeous girl who doesn't parade around in Maxim or anything. It makes her all the more desirable, I believe. Characters like Sonya and Kitana can embody that element -- whereas Mileena and Nitara could be more the "Megan Fox" types.

I don't mind sexy outfits for the ladies. The trouble is sexiness for one person is slutty to another.

As long as they dont go the desperate realms of DOA it shouldn't be too bad.

If you think about it, only the female edenians have the superhero in leotard look...I think it should become like a dress code for edenian female warriors. Personaly I like it and they should forever wear them.
