His head wasn't supposed to look human with that design. Meh. Like I said, I liked it. I'm about the only person who did it seems.

Oh I know, I wasn't saying it should look human... but I just thought they would make it look more fierce/threatening than they did. Maybe like a raptor. Like they showed in his MK2 Ending.

Don't get me wrong, if he changes INTO that for fatalities, maybe x-ray, or variation, then alright, I'm cool with that. But just straight up walking around like that, let alone when there's another Saurian/Zaterran near, just wouldn't do it for me. So far canonically he still devolves without another one of his kind near. Female specifically, but still. Reptile had no one MK4-MKDA. This should count for something.

Of course I'm being nitpicky about his look now, but I'll still take whatever the hell they give me. Need him.

Reptile is interesting in that everybody has a different preference as to what he should look like.

I think MK4 Reptile was an awful design. Shame on anyone who likes that, No amount of fanart (aka LIES) will change how dorky he actually looked in-game.

MKDA Reptile had a neat concept to him becoming primal but he still looks like a knockoff Lizardman which I don't think he should be.

I prefer Human Reptile (MK1/MK2) but I believe there's a bunch of ways you can achieve that without turning him into a palette swap ninja ie peach scales like Shaolin Monks did.

Which would work now more than ever due to the Variations changing a part of the costume.

Why oh why do we have to have a human form anymore? We're not limited to digitised actors now so why do we still demand that he peel someones skin off and wear it as a disguse and look like Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

Gah I was so happy in the 3D days when they were radically redesigning the rainbow to make them look like their own kind of characters instead of making them all seem as if they came from the ninja mold.

Reptile is just that a reptile and it's been established since Shaolin Monks and MK 2011 that even in his most "human" days he still looks like a lizard walking on two legs. So I say lets get the spikes back on his back and give him a snout.

Sorry if that comes off as ranty I'm just tired of people demanding we take steps back with characters like Reptile and Ermac and Sub-Zero.

Remember all of those silly conspiracy theories from David Icke about those Reptiloids ruling the world and play on the paranoia fuel a bit that. Making Reptile having a geniune human mode that blends into normal society and yes use that in story mode. and game mechanic having Reptile inhuman control of his body to do his specials, like expanding his mouth for his fatalities and his acid/venom spits. of course there should be alternate costumes of Reptile change his shape into.

Well a reptile in itself can be many things: a turtle, a snake, a lizzard etc. For me, they have gone too far into history or even fantasy land to the point where reptile looks rather weak and too much like a dinosaur. Also, they have tried the lizzard and snake look, but the feet and mouth have always been off. Rather weak looking imo

I would love it if they would go with a more strong reptilian look, like a cobra (that fan art where he has the cobra hood is awesome!). I just hope they keep him mysterious in a way, but not necessarily a ninja. You can 'hide' him in a lot of ways. It's ridiculous to have the look in 2011 again. Where they put a freaking mask in front of his face and that leather over his head.

Palette swap days are over kids, it's been eighteen years now, this cry for "human-form" is getting old and sad. Because it should had been clear by now that NetherRealm Studios is sticking with REPTILE looking REPTILIAN.
The creators can do more with character designs since they have the technology to do so. His reptilian appearance makes him more unique as a character and less thought of "oh...another ninja", and his movesets looks more fitting with such appearance. NetherRealm Studios has been sticking to that route for many years now, why can't people see and understand that? Hell, they even made (or tried to make) Sub-Zero look unique as possible by giving him icy arms over the years.

I'm sure 2011 made him look like that on purpose to have him no longer needing his human form.

As much as I do like him "humanized" I'd rather have his Shaolin Monks (as said before) his Mortal Kombat 4 (maybe more so with out the outfit) or 2011 again. He'll still be reptilian, but have a humanized form.

But it wouldn't hurt to give him more reptilian features. Someone said bring back the crab stance, I could kind of dig that return.

I will be just fine with anything they do as long as they don't ever go back to Deadly Alliance, as well as give him a tail that just looks horrible with the character. If he ever gets a tail, it better look right, move right, and be used as a weapon.

Motaro used his, there was no reason why Reptile couldn't have used his.

I do wish Reptile regained Zaterra already.

Hell no! I loved his MKDA look. As soon as I saw it when the game first came out on one of the loading screens, I was like..."I NEED THIS". They made him a Reptile! No longer are we restricted to the palette swapness of the past!

But it's definitely unpopular :\

Yeah, he's probably going to be a "humanoid reptile" like in MK9 from here on out, as a compromise between the devolved look and the human Reptile that so many people want back.

I was a fan of the MKDA Reptile since it came out. It was so awesome to see something like that after years of being just a green ninja, and that alien looking thing from MK4.
