There's easily some people you could say aren't returning. Honestly, Sindel, Nightwolf, Kabal, Sheeva, and Rain i'm comfortable with saying they have no chance.

Meh, I kind of agree, but at the same time I don't. Sheeva wasn't DLC and she was still treated like shit. As a matter of fact the DLC characters, while missing out on being part of story mode, still got so many cool things that she never received. They got official renders, vignettes videos, and other goodies. Sheeva never even received a fucking render or proper reveal, she was literally just tossed in the game. And her role in the story was nothing to write home about.

All because Boon doesn't like the characters...

While most people think its a given Tanya is in this game, i'll still fear a bit for her as Boon doesn't like her that much as well...

Fair enough. Only character I'm comfortable with saying isn't returning is Sheeva. The other three are dead anyway(if that means anything). I still feel like Rain has a little more going for him as a possibility.

And most of the characters (reptile, Kintaro, Mileena, baraka, sektor, ermac) were shitty in the storymode of Mk2011.

It kinda gives me hope that MKX storymode will be a lot better, but I could be wrong.

Sheeva is also a real shitty character. At least Rain has fans and is pretty well liked.

Let me break it down:

-Boon thinks Rain is a Joke.

-Boon knows Rain has a ton of Fans

-Boon doesn't give Rain a roster spot but has plans to make Rain DLC instead

-Boon knows fans will buy Rain DLC

-Boon reaps the dlc sales while pushing Rain into obscurity.

That same thing may very well happen in this game. Such a shame..

CD Jr has been petitioning for Rain for a long time. It's a friendly rib.

You seem to forget that besides Quan Chi (who people ppl in NRS seem to have a boner for) she was the only MK4 character to make 2 appearances until MKA. And if you count all post-MK3 characters, very few didn't fade into nothingness after their debut. Tanya -along with Bo Rai Cho, Kenshi and Li Mei- were the only ones that didn't, so I wouldn't really say Boon hates her.

Ninja's sell. They have the largest fan groups and look the coolest to newbies who will be buying mkx as their first mk game. Expect to see 3 ninjas for dlc. 2 more as roster spots.

Tremor is an absolute wildcard.. who knows if he even shows up as a ninja or at all.
