I hope Rain makes it. Art Lean will hopefully never make it though. He's just too plain and boring.

There's no way Rain is going to be in MKX. He's not popular with the development team, he wasn't heavily used by the competitive scene, and he wasn't very prevalent online. He literally has no chance.

Sadly I have to agree. His chances are extremely low. I wouldn't put him under Art Lean though...that's for characters like Kira & Kobra I.E- Ones we'll NEVER see again for damn sure.

Wait, are we hating Kira now? I get that she wasn't that remarkable gameplay wise but I was sure most were okay with her as a character?

Agreed, they should atleast add Art nub to get his balls rekt in lets say fatality practice mode as a dummy, then i would for sure not mind!

I am ok with Kira. I was using her as a broad example. It's obvious Neathrealm Studios doesn't care for the MKDA/MKD era characters with the exception of very few. Aside from Kenshi, and maybe Bo'Rai'Cho, Havik, and MAYBE Li Mei, I don't think we'll ever see the likes of Kira, Kobra, Nitara, Ashrah, Darrius Mavado ect ever again- at least not until the next trilogy/Armageddon "Let's bring everyone back" type game in ten years.

Which sucks since I have a soft spot for most of them.

I agree that Rain isn't popular enough... hell, it took alot of the vocal minority to convince NRS to put Rain in MK9 as a DLC! It would still be cool to see Rain make an appearance in MKX though, as unlikely that may be.

The way i see it, with already a couple cool new characters introduced to us, maybe as a DLC but Rain is sadly one among a hill of chars that won't be introduced in this one and maybe not to be seen again in the near future.

I hope he will be in. I need to play as Rain.

I doubt you actually have a need for him to be in MKX, but if it is so bad you can't contain it, you always have MK9 with him as DLC. If that's not enough for you, I would suggest you seek out a therapist, because it sounds unhealthy. ;)

I certainly hope you're wrong because Drahmin would be a perfect fit for this game and it would be a shame if they dropped the vampire race.

A lot of the Deadly Alliance characters would be fantastic choices for this game. And I'd hate to loose Nitara, the vampire realm fascinates me.

I think rain would have been more popular had NRS made him better. He could have been a really cool character and they mucked it up in my opinion. They made him soft, he could have been intimidating and badass. His fighting style was closer to ballet dancing than anything else. His special water attack looked like a jester pulling a spraying flower prank.

Really sad honestly could have been much more and I think NRS purposefully created a character most fans wouldn't mind never seeing again.

This was about as close as I could get. And even then, it's not concrete. It's pretty vague and he doesn't say day 1. But he does say for "a while". So maybe when they first started discussing DLC they knew they were going to have Rain.

No character is created to be disliked by fans. That is insanely stupid and a waste of time. Why create a character you hope people dislike when you can create one they like? That's your own thoughts jumbling around in there and I'm sure far from the truth.

As far as Rain goes he wasn't the best character in MK9 but a lot of people liked him, thought he had a cool design, and if I'm not mistaken he sold pretty well.

I'm not saying he's this big huge character that everyone loved...but he's far from the abomination you're surely acting like he was. If anything most people seem to be pretty 50/50 on him.

My favorite out of the original ninjas. So I would love him to return.

Well if the roster of this game is influenced by the ending of MK9 and the game starts off right after the last one, I'd say his chances of returning are pretty good since 98% of MK9s roster are dead!! Rain may have been DLC in MK9, but he was alive when it ended and therefore alive when MKX begins..
