Looks good, I like the portal variation. The fatality preview actually made me cringe!
The x-ray is all right, but overall pretty good. I love the design.

That fatality already looks like a contender for best MK fatality ever. What I'm sad is he is supposed to be a necromancer, but he doesn't summon skeletons. I thought we would finally see him doing that.

Well maybe there is more to see in his summoner variation

So what do we know? He seems to have abilities that would fit Shang Tsung and Noob Saibot, so they might not return. Scorpion has a variation where he summons demons to help him, kinda like Noob did with his shadow, so it does indeed point to Noob not returning for MKX.

Noob could still make it.
There are some key differences to how the summoned operate. For instance, Scorpion only uses the demon 3 ways. One for an Anti Air, one for an attack from behind, and one for a hold where Scorpion can get a free hit.
Quan Chi uses his demon in 3 ways also but with a big difference. Quan Chi can keep the demon on screen with him. Scorpion can't. Quan Chi can use the Demon as a low projectile, as a regular projectile, and can launch it at the opponent.
Noob on the other hand, used his shadow almost exclusively for Projectiles. He also used his shadow for combo strings which neither Scorp or Quan Chi do. I think NRS is creative enough to find ways to use Noob's shadow for variations.

I'm glad to see that he actually uses his sword(s) during the match again. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in MK9 I think he only pulled out the swords for one of his fatalities.

Sounds to me like Quan Chi has taken Shinnok's place as the leader of the Netherrealm forces. "His plans are fully realized"...
Ever since MK4 we have heard all the hype about what a powerful, cunning sorcerer Quan Chi was. It is nice to finally see him demonstrate this notion! Maybe he has a special spell that will fix Cassie's giraffe neck? I like his appearance, though some color in his armor would have been nice--all black is a bit ho-hum. I love the skull strapped to his chest! It is amusing the initial reveal of MKX in the summer left me with mixed feelings, and a bit underwhelmed. This trailer is definitely showing polish and progression in game development. Kano's facial animation is impressive.

I set his render as my wallpaper on my tablet.
He is kick ass and liking what I'm seeing from him thus far.

It's not really surprising that Quan Chi would be in this game. I do like the trailer a lot as it nicely showcases a sense of newness for the character. While his presence in the last game left a very sour taste, I will be open to see how he turns out. It's great that his costume has more of an MK4 vibe as opposed to the more Deadly Alliance style. Considering the story, it doesn't surprise me that he'll have a major role, and his presence in the story makes me think that we will see Shinnok return. This also gives the possibility of fallen heroes returning as playable characters, possibly as DLCs.
Gameplay-wise, he looks really good but has a high learning curve. I probably won't use him too much in the long run, and I bet he'll be a real pain in the ass to fight against. That fatality teaser was nice, and I'm glad that the fatalities in the game so far are more serious and brutal.

Also like the sorta "Spawn" esque collar he's got goin on. Cool design overall.
I'll have to see more of the sorcerer version. Didn't really see a ton there that overwhelmed me. I like that he could buff himself and it looked like one was projectile invulnerability, but if you're a sorcerer, can't you find some cooler stuff to do to make yourself more powerful/badass?
Not complaining, mind you. It's early, and this is just the first look. They nailed a lot of other aspects with him. I'm intrigued by the summoner variation and portal looks fun as hell, but sorcerer might needs bit more, unless there's some really cool stuff that we haven't seen yet.

He is truly sinister in MKX. Well done.
I am glad to see NRS has continued the tradition of not having a single character I find boring.

I've ragged on QC in the past but I must say this time around he looks excellent.
Well, we all knew he'd be around again, I'm glad they got him out of the way.
As sick of him as I am though, I do have to admit he looks like fun. Liking the wing collar-pieces and his beast companions. His imagery is much more 'demonic' this time around.
Note the mention that he's still got control of the fallen Earthrealm warriors, also that working with Kano seems to be a plot point.
Wonderful fatality preview. Made me cover my mouth involuntarily. :)

Ed did say that (in reference to the shoe picture) there was a mixture of old and new characters within it.
Anyways, though I expected Quan Chi back, he looks better than ever. Sick intro, sick (Cenobite-y) costume, etc.

Oh my goodness! where to start? I'm glad Ed retweeted my tweet
So that was my initial reaction.
I abso-fuckinglutely love everything about Quan's trailer. His design is PERFECT! They stayed true to his 2 main designs (deadly alliance up until MK9, and MK4) with a twist of something new. The tattoos are still intact. Oh and the boots from the boots teaser are definitely his (first pair with skull on knee).
Voice is same old Quan Chi, never gets old. Always been a fan.
Gameplay, love the 3 styles they got for him. Damn, they look delicious! I wonder if his summoner will have more creatures from the netherrealm.
Quan Chi looks overall beast, very powerful this time around. Well I guess this also means he's not the "Big Bad" guy so that rules him out. I wonder if he's in the possession of Shinnok's amulet.
That X-ray looks phenomenal, they incorporated his magic and ground stomp into it.
That FATALITY!!!! suicide sorcery! haha, can't wait to see the whole thing!
QUAN CHI is 10/10.

This... All these returning male character reveals... all returning from MK9... All have been used throughout a bunch of games. I'd like to see someone less used to mix things up a bit.
Quan Chi looked incredible! So excited for this game. As usual NRS nails the variations. I wonder how the mechanics work for some of those visually impressive portal moves? I can't wait to get my hands on this game.
Side note, did Kano's beard get longer or did I just miss that detail? Cassie Cage's face looked MUCH better on the player select screen too.
Man half the cast is going to be new.

I'm just saying, I would like to have some more new characters thrown in there before they exhaust returning or veteran characters.
