He probably will and Shinnok will be the final boss(duh). It's more or less like MK4

He needs to betray and kill Shinnok and become the final boss, so we can finally kill the son of a bitch.

I definitely wouldn't mind. I always felt like he should have been the sub-boss in MK4, Goro felt so "out of place".

I think he might be the sub-boss for the next game and I have a feeling like it could be the game when someone (read Scorpion) finally puts an end to him (until the next reboot/retcon).

I just hope they do justice to Shinnok as he was overshadowed by Quan Chi in MK4. This time though, let the Evil Lord shine!

I think that he should be a sub boss next game, he's a force to be reckoned with now after all and as you mentioned, with his alliance to Shinnok and the army of fallen warriors it's a logical step.
Off Topic: When Quan Chi lines up the souls in front of Raiden, Shang Tsung isn't there and I'm wondering why? Was his soul not released from Sindel's when she died? She was there but is Shang's soul past resurrection?

I'm so tired of Quan Chi at this stage that I would love if Shinnok turned on him and ripped him apart in the first ten seconds of MK10's intro.

But I'm guessing he'll be the sub-boss or the sub-sub-boss or whatever.

Quan Chi is obviously going to be the new champion of Mortal Kombat. Liu Kang's run as the golden boy is over....Quan will finally be taking over next game

I reckon Shinnok will cock block the inevitable Quan Chi double cross. But that will be it.

I say count him as a boss like in MKDA.

Moloch would be a perfect fit for a sub-boss for the next game, with the Netherrealm invasion and all that. But knowing the MK team, we'll likely see some shit like Mecha-Goro before we see Moloch again.

I hope this Netherrealm-centric game means we'll get to see Drahmin again.

Quan Chi should evolve into an Oni beast in the sequel and become a boss.

I hope they bring Meat back. I don't care if he's a skin for everyone.

Or a cameo in the story mode will do.

Sub - Sub boss - Quan Chi (Double Flawless to fight Kia and Jatakka endurance.)
Sub Boss - Motaro. No X-rays, No Enhances, No Specials. FINAL DESTINATION
Boss - Shinnok

I'd love a Meat skin in the future. I always thought that was so cool in MK4. I loved doing all of Sonya's moves as a disgusting, bloody skeleton. As his own character though I have no interest in Meat. I'm sure NRS could fix him up really good and make him really likeable but there's a wealth of characters I'd sooner have them focus on. As a skin though, I'm all for Meat.

I do like Meat as a character, but many people I have met at fansites a habit to take joke characters too serious...so I say a skin and story mode cameo will be best. Or as a hidden fighter.

I have a feeling that Quan Chi will be involved but Shinnok will be the boss with a new sub-boss: octopus witch reflected in the Soul Chamber or the Cerebrus in the Hell Stage, but either downsized, I mean look at MvsC3 they got freaking Galactus as the boss lol anything's possible.

Quan Chi never made a good sub-boss IMO, only when playing the Sub Zero Mythologies game.
