Well, seriously speaking, he could have found someone to slow down his aging with magic at some point, I guess. If Erron Black, why not Kano? Shang Tsung can't be the only one in Outworld who was capable of something like that. And even if he was, he could've done it during MK9, just not as long lasting as Erron's longevity seems to be. Point is, we don't necessarily know that he's been aging naturally.

Ever see ANY old school kung fu movies between 1970 and 1990? The most bad ass of them all are always sportings beards, ponytails and fu manchu. It's an homage to kung fu cinema, which is basically Mortal Kombat's core identity.


Though I did expect a Sonya alt with a beard after a while.

We need more women with beards. This is outrageous.

The beards were overused. When I first saw Sub-Zero with a beard in trailer I was like sweet he looks unique. Then I saw Scorpion with a BEARD and UNMASKED. Atleast Sub has a cool scar and voice still.

Sub-Zero looks like MK9 Kano, and Hanzo Scorpion looks like Human Sektor.

And for Scorpion being one angry mofo, Sektor looked far more intimidating than Scorpion does. It`s a common Asian men`s hairstyle though.

Kung Jin looks great. Awesome design, nothing looks off, imo.
Kung Lao looks Mexican, the MK team has been consistently adding nods to their own cultural identity in the games.

I think the ponytails are fking awesome, especially on Scorpion.
Yet again, I have a ponytail fetish, so.

Scorp and Subby look good in beards, but not the rest. Hell, Kenshi just looks wrong with tha thing on his face.
