I could be wrong, but I thought Hanzo was always depicted as wearing his hair down? Other than thought, the beards didn't bother me, but the amount of Ponytails did seem pretty high.

The number of beards in this game was actually a distraction

And not in a good way

I feel like more people would have been open to the beards if they were more varied.

I feel like Kenshi could have rocked the old man stubble, Hanzo could have gone a bit longer with a tie in it, and Sub Zero could have kept his style, if not done something more wild to fit the Grandmaster vibe.

They all looked like action figures in MKvsDC

I actually didn't even notice. But yeah, I did think that it would've been cool if they made Kano bald. Especially because he was already bald in MK3, so it's not like it would be a completely new look for him. And it would only accentuate the fact that he's getting older, because remember, he's supposed to be at least 62 years old in this game.

Take away either Sub-Zero's or Kenshi's beard, and I would've been perfectly fine. There was one beard too many, in my opinion.

Didn't really notice the ponytail thing, though. But, wouldn't that make sense for a fight? I mean, just short of cutting it? Don't want to give your opponent something to grab on to...

You thought he looked old in MK3? Interesting. But there you go, I mean, the baldness would've definitely helped to sell his age.

Kano is NOT 62. He was probably 25-30 in MK9. So he is probably 50-55

I think Beards were used a lot to make characters seem "old" and for me the Ponytail on Scorpion didn't seem really fitting but the Ponytail on Kung Lao was freaking badass.

Although Ponytails were not overused, it was only the Beards that were overused.

I feel like Hanzo shouldn't of had a ponytail on his alt costume. I don't know why they didn't just do a maskless variation, I thought his default costume in the comics but with just the beard/hood looked badass, I wish they would have put it in game.

Apparently beards are a statement for old(er) age in MK...glad JC escaped that "curse" to be honest.
It fits some characters, but it doesn't have to turn into a pattern.

Officially, Kano is supposed to be 35 in MK1. Sonya 26, Cage 29. So yeah, they're way older than they look in MKX.

Beards I can work with, but im not a fan of the pony tails, especially on Scorpion.

Ponytails were unnecessary. It just seems strange that all the male characters have more hair than the three new females (bald, undercut, and dreads in a ponytail.)

Also, maybe Kano looks young from staying in Outworld?

At least Johnny Cage and Kano seem old, Sonya Blade is the same damn age with little to nothing changed about her.

Kano looks really good for a 60 something year old but I guess spending a lot of time in Outworld fighting Shokans in bars can improve on your health and body.
