It's really hard to say as there are several characters I'd like to see come back (e.g. Sareena, Ermac, Nitara, Havik, Mileena, etc.). I might have to say that I'd be most disappointed if someone like Havik weren't to return, because he has so much potential and could go many places.

I'd be extremly disappointed if Shang Tsung or Quan Chi don't return (I'll be even more disappointed if both of them don't return. If I can't have one, I'll take the other, but both of them not returning will disappoint me even more)

I would be outraged if Tanya didn't return, for I feel she is picking up in character developement, and it would be a damn shame if they cut her out so soon. She's only been in 2 mk's, and people already know her as the traitor, yay her!

I've waited so long for her to appear, she's a fresh face with massive potential, and they set her up great in Armageddon as an interesting character...if they throw her away after (technically) one game........I will be pissed.


I'd also be disappointed if Kitana doesn't make it back...she being my favorite character. But I'd understand if she doesn't return...being an older character and all. If she doesn't come back, I just hope she gets a good ending.

I will be very very disappoint If Frost never return in MK8

Reptile and Noob Saibot, definitely. These two characters have great potential and Midway just doesn't seem to know how to make them live up to it.

For me its simple:

Frost - She's opened to a new story if she makes a return. Lets say she has woke up from her ice tomb and has no memory of anything. The only way she can get her memory restored is entering Mortal Kombat. If she does return, I want her to be good not evil. This character when I first played her didn't looked evil towards me. Besides, the creators of MK said it themselves that they liked Frost since Mk2, that they wanted to added her somewhere in MK2 or MK3 but just couldn't find the right time to put her in until Deadly Alliance. I'm saying that she has a good chance in returning.

Hotaru - He can definently go somewhere if Kenshi and Sub-Zero (Of course he's returning) come back. I liked this character in Deception, he was the second charactr I beat the game with. He has good moves and I love how he looks with the helmet. Ditch the flags on the back, they don't suite well.

Shang Tsung - This guy better make a return, and if he does, he better have his morphing abilities back. and if the fatalites are back, his fataility better look like something like this: (It's at the very ending.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prTmdU1nWRQ&feature;=related
With the exception of Kahn, Shang Tsung was the ultimate villain. I was very disappointed with Shinnok mimicking him in Mk4, why couldn't they just put Shang Tsung in if they wanted a character that morphed?

Noob - I want a Sub-Zero svs. Noob with his story. Thats all I want from him, his Deception Ending was very shocking.

I want Li Mei back but I know that's next to impossible. Maybe Frost, I think you can do a lot with her storyline-wise.

Those are the ones that if I was playing the game, and they weren't there, I'd notice first. But that's just right now, and it's says nothing for my list of who I want to see go or stay or whatever.

Also, these characters have nostalgia enough to carry the series, storyline potential, power potential, or it wouldn't feel like MK to me without them there.

The character not returning that would disappiont me the most is Shao Khan. I mean if he's not there then who's the new emperior of outworld. Also, Lui Kang because if he doesnt return then he went into the afterlife after getting his revenge from Shang Thusng.
