As much as i am a Devoted Stryker fan, i know he has no purpose in MK anymore. I hate saying that, but i need to grow up in that aspect in look for future hopes. R.I.P. KS.

Characters that must return?

hmm... well well:

Sareena - TREMENDOUS potential yet to be explored. Good character overall.

Frost - an awesome character that has been explored only in her evil side. Maybe changing her way of life, changing her from Evil allignment to Neutral, or shall i say... good? That would be great, as she's got so much to show us.

Shang Tsung - the tricky and cunning sorcerer is my personal favourite character. A flexible character that can addapt to any kind of plot or rivalry. Without a shadow of a doubt, a MUST RETURN character.

Kung Lao - This character should have took the main hero role since Deadly Alliance. In MK 8, he should be one of the main heroes, and probably the one to take Liu Kang's place.

Sub Zero - What can i say? The blue ninja should have an elder place now. He should be some kind of a guide, or tutor for the main heroes.

Kira - Finishing off Sonya and Kano is such a great idea, Midway... please do it! Kira has a lot of potential, and can replace those two characters with her single presence. Guess what Boon, you kill two rabbits with a single shot (figurative speech).

Fujin - the current protector of earthrealm must take Raiden's place as guide of the main heroes. He must be the new master in the good side.

I guess there is someone left that must return, but i can't remember who...

Pretty much characters like Cham,Kham,sheeva,reiko,kai ect, MKT -MK4 charachters should return as they never really got their moments of glory.

Sub-Zero but we all heared Ed say that "a MK without Scorpion or Sub-Zero would be like a Street Fighter without Ken and Riu"
so i dout I have to worry about that.
but hmm I dont know. I like the rest of the cast. I like them alot but when it really boils down to it their all expendable to me. like I love most of the MK cast but hmm odd that that is what it comes down to.
but I gues the character i would be disapointed about not seeing return would be Reptile. and I wouldn't be disapointed but Goro would be missed for like maybe 5 minuts then I would get over it because I really do not see them brining Goro back if they want that feeling of having a clean slate.

I think there's a lot you can do with them with the absence of Kitana.

I'm not sure how refreshing it would be if Kahn became the boss for the 5th time (after MK2, MK3, UMK, and MKT)...

Anyway, I'd be sorry if Shinnok, Shang Tsung/ Quan Chi and Sheeva weren't there.
Shinnok because he still is an Elder God, with mimicry, raising skeleton hands etc., and he has been used so little. It would be a bit unfair to him to have only two appearances: one in MK4 which sucked as hell, and the other in MKA. Tsung and Quan Chi have been around a lot, I know, but they certainly have some more schemes and can play the role of sly, deceptive grand viziers of a new boss, with an even greater upgrade than the one they got in MKD. I don't know, some "brand new" sorcerer simply doesn't come to my mind, he would have to be a masked copy either of Tsung or Quan Chi. As for Sheeva, she could inherit the place of all the other shokans and become for example the new general of her race. Why not elevate her from the status of a slave at least in the next game?

If Boon wants mostly new characters in the new game my guess he'll bring back 5.

I'd miss Scorpion the most if he's left out.

Screw Katana, they need better female characters in this new game.

Shang Tsung needs to return. He is the definition of gritty, dark, and evil in the MK series.

Sektor. both because hes my favourate character and because they just gave him a colony to command. eliminating it now would be imo one of the dumbest things they could do.

Not having Ermac back would suck. I wouldn't buy the game.

One of my fav characters is Sub-Zero, but he will most definetly return
So lets say the amount of characters in the game are about 30, I think there
should be 10-12 characters from previous MK's.

Absolutely completely agreed.

Raiden can't be trusted. As stated in Fujin's MK:A bio, Raiden is dark, acting with a clear goal to defend the realm, but with the ruthlessness of Shao Kahn.

Raiden obviously still has some good in him. But he has simply become untrustworthy. No one knows what he is going to do next. It could be good or it could be bad.

It's time for Fujin to step up and take control of Earthrealm, as he is its official protector god.

BTW, to answer the thread topic (not sure if i've already answered), Fujin.

Fujin is too important at this stage not to be involved somehow, and since Raiden is fucked up literally right now and not himself it's only more logical.

Ermac also IMO is one of the important, more powerful good guys that played a big role in the events of MKD going into MKA. He should be back.
