Re Cassie Cage, Boon said she's got a mix of their powers. Given that the game goes from right after MK9 through to 25 years beyond that time, I'm guessing she's early 20s and one of the characters in the story mode from the final chapter.

While the silhouettes do look character specific, I feel that some of them are red herrings to relay obvious confirmations of characters like Raiden/Kung Lao who have visually identifiable outlines.

Some of them do look very character specific. I'm gonna wager the character in the top left is another ninja (maybe Reptile). And I swear the bottom left has a small resemblance to Kai. The one directly under D'Vorah is really throwing me off; Female? Cyborg? Female Cyborg?

Hopefully that's not Freddy Kreuger again with the hat

I think the first from the left, first row, or the second from the right, first row too, is Ermac (Ermac has a lot of potential for a return since he won't age as normal speed).
