Please God let it be Fujin. Reptile's my favourite character but I've no interest in him coming back to get his ass kicked and not have his story advanced. I doubt NRS intend to advance his story in any meaningful way (i.e. finding Khameleon and repopulating his species) so let him sit on the shelf til then. Of course, if they are advancing his story, fuck yeah.

Jade would have to be a no for me. Never took to her, dull as dishwater character. She'd lend herself very well to the three variations thing but I really just have no interest in her, barring a pretty awesome redesign and toning down the stripper thing. Ah well, other people having fun and getting their characters is good, happy for them.

I agree, Jade shouldn't be in. I really don't see what's so good about a character that is the MK equivalent of a stripper. The only cool thing about her is her three bladed ninja star thing.

There is more to Jade than her bladed shriuken. Her staff, her colour and her moves are all great. She is prettier than all other females in MK and has the best ending in MK9 out of all the females.

Jade is the best fit female for the variation system though. I don't even consider that opinion.

People may favor others over her, but the shit she has in her arsenal gives her enough for 3 variations.

Also, please don't bring up her staff to call her a stripper. Jesus Christ, MK9 made every female a damn stripper. Mileena and her toilet paper attire. Sonya and her vest covering her tits. Plus every damn one of them had their high heel hooker boots on. Let's face it they were all dressed like sluts. Jade has always used a fucking staff so she just happened to get the pole dance routine. Her pole dance doesn't make her any sluttier than the rest of the females though.

Besides, a stripper strips. As in, takes her clothes off while dancing. Jade doesn't do that. If she's anything, it's a poledancer, something many women go to these days. It's like the new yoga. I hear it's a fun way to strengthen your body and makes you more agile, both of things Jade does well in. ^^

I agree with him on the slutty attire part. It's bad enough that those characters don't have any redeeming or memorable character development like in the original timeline when they dress around like they're auditioning for a PG-13 rated Dead or Alive volleyball tournament.

(Kitana in the original had to go through tons of guilt, anger, and betrayal after learning the truth ON HER OWN about her true parentage and Kahn intending to replace her with Mileena to the point where she joins the heroes and frees her own realm of Edenia. That's a great character. This new Kitana is just a bikini princess who is told by Rai-dude about the revelation, gets her ass captured, and then killed in the final act by Sindel. I couldn't remember one redeeming quality from her story mode portrayal. O yea and not a lot of relation between Liu and Kitana like in the original timeline because CLEARLY she wasn't remembered to be one of the heroes' love interest.)

I hope in the next game the females are portrayed better more focused on the non-bland caricature. From what I've heard from the intro dialogue, Cassie Cage and D'vorah are very promising aspects for new fan favorites among the female audience and I'd like to know more about them when I view the MKX walkthrough.

Surprise surprise...

So you don't want Reptile playable because his story sucks. His story has ALWAYS sucked, and his unique gameplay apparently isn't enough for you this time around. How is he your favorite character again?

Because the idea of a monstrous lizard hiding in human skin to kill people for his mystical Emperor master is fucking bad ass. That's an awesome story. The last of his species on a quest to return his people to life and glory is an awesome story. Contrast it with Scorpion's story, hell contrast it with pretty much any MK story. It's just amazing. Reptile being a token dogsbody from MK4-MK9, with restoring his species dangled in front of him like an eternal, unreachable carrot is not an awesome story.

I never liked Reptile's gameplay. I was great with him in UMK3 but I've never mained him. He's my favourite because the concept is so fucking cool. So I can divorce his unique gameplay from my considerations. Oh and yes, me not liking Jade is my opinion. Just like other people liking her is their opinion. Imagine people having different opinions, shocker

Breaking News: Reptile was badass lizard creature who fought to restore his race AND he was lapdog of the villains, at the same time. And he is story is as tired as that of Scorpion.

As much of a fan of Kitana's as I am, I agree that her story in MK9 left a lot to be desired but the more I think about it that goes for most of the entire roster. I loved Kitana's story in the original team line and if she is in MKX they can make it great again.
