You do realize that not all of the MK4-Deception era characters might not have sucked TO YOU, but most people agree that they certainly weren't great, memorable, or of the same caliber as many of the fan favorites.

Actually I only like a few of them, but I've seen MANY people ask about them on Ed Boons twitter. Believe it or not they have fans. I'm also fully aware that they weren't well received by many, but it wouldn't surprise me to see some return.

I am among those who have been saying that the majority of "new" characters (MK4-MKA) suck. Well, MK4 wasn't that bad. I've always liked Shinnok, Fujin, and QC (yeah, they were introduced in Mythologies I know). Reiko and Kai weren't bad either. Never liked Tanya or Jarek much. Still, the majority were on par with any other character from the MK1-MK3 era in terms of design and storyline. Lets be honest, it wasn't like the MK1-3 characters were so individualized in design or complicated in story.

From MK:DA onwards I really started hating the new characters. Not for their roles in the story per se but for the team's lack of creativity in designing these characters. It was as if they had a very limited Kreate a Kharacter mode of their own to come up with them. Li Mei, Mavado, Hsu Hao, Nitara, and Frost were very generic characters with bland designs. There was nothing original about them. Drahmin was practically the only new character in MK:DA I liked for being original.

Then we moved on from bad to worse and got characters like Darrius, Kobra, Hotaru, Dairou, Shujinko, Kira, Ashra, and Taven. The blandest and simplest of designs, unoriginal ideas taken from elsewhere, making it seem like the team wasn't even trying anymore. These are characters I gladly see scrapped from any future MK projects. They were so fucking bad that I think they cannot be redeemed, the good majority anyway. The new characters introduced in MKX seem on a whole different level where creativity and designs are concerned. I hope they keep at it

NRS knows how to make a proper fighter now, and some of those characters had potential from their movesets.

Hopefully something to keep s good for awhile this month to month wait for details is killing me xD, Hoping its Reptile, A new fighter, Havik, fujin, bo rai cho or shinnok!

I would be perfectly happy with ANY new information. The most logical piece of information for us to get would be the Goro variations trailer, and I'm fine with that. I would consider anything else that they're willing to share as a bonus.

Don't get too hyped for the Goro trailer because it won't be that great. I'm more hyped to see which returning "ality" it'll be and or if a new or other returning character will be revealed.

That's your opinion and I value that. A new character or the new "ality" being revealed instead of the Goro trailer would be enormous and much better. However, if you look at the last 2 reveals, we received the variations trailer immediately after the character. I honestly think that that is the way they are going to be doing things from here on out.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it was Brutality. With the definition of gore and violence this game has (in a good way) it would be expected. I miss Mercy. Lol.

I would really like a Goro trailer since he's already been announced. Showing a still of him (which looked bad ass) was a huge tease and now it's been three weeks. A little more info on the game itself such as a new mode, ality, or story mode would be welcome as well.
