Whoa, this is huge. I really like ambient, lightly dancey stuff like this. They would work as stage BGM themes. Raiden's theme is really chill and groovy, while Sub's theme is a head-bobber for sure.

This is pretty much the kind of material that I was hoping Songs Inspired By The Warriors would turn out to be.

It's way, way , waaaay past time the MK characters got some personalized theme music. This is a great start. Can't wait to hear more.

So called MK theme is not from the games. And MK games themselves had lots of awesome music.

I know it has been stated numerous times but I just really really really wish they'd go back to the oriental Kung fu inspired tunes.

The music has been pretty lackluster since Armageddon. (Yes, even you Dan Forden.) The Bell Tower was probably the best track on that one. Although, DA and Deception had some great tracks and it seemed they were heading back into the classic stuff.

I haven't heard any of MKX's tunes yet, at least nothing that really stood out to me. Not to mention it's hard to focus on it in the majority of the videos that are available. As a musician, I enjoy dissecting music to hear every FX tone, as well as the instruments. So I'll wait until the tracks are uploaded on YouTube or something.

I don't understand the obsession over the MK immortals theme. Sure, it was kinda good listening to it a few times but it got old pretty fast. I still love the select theme music for MK1-4 far more than any other.

Listening to Raiden's theme for MKX, it's really good. Chill, and it fits. Reminds me of MK2/3 especially.

They sound closer to the characters than the last games character themes (barring a few like Mileena and Liu Kang)

Of course it's hard to beat Baraka's theme.

Definitely going to catch a lot of flack for this but I can't understand the obsession with older MK themes. They were just psuedo-techno, americanized oriental sounds?

I would much rather see a more mature approach to the music than what we have had in the past.

Soundboards today are not even in the same realm as soundboards in the 90's or 2000's

If the music is going to be anything like the quan chi reveal for MKX; then I am all in.

I don't think this is official stuff, they post fanart on their tumblr too...Besides, I think these themes are way too loopy and go nowhere.

I agree, they're pretty repetitive, but as were all the themes from the original games. I think that's why I like the Raiden one so much, maybe not so much the sub.

I don't think those tracks are from MKX. I'm not sure what "Dee-P Productions" is but they are credited for those tracks. It also just doesn't really sound like something Dan Forden would do.

The first song is from the ice forest but the Raiden song might be from a new stage not even released yet. To add to this I llked Sub-Zero's theme but Raidens theme was good except for the ending when it hurt my ears with the buzzing sound.

Yeah, after watching a couple videos from the Winter Forest stage the music is very different. Likely fan-submissions. I'm pretty happy about that because those tracks were very dull.

The music coming from NRS has been lackluster as of the last couple of games. Hopefully MKX will be better.

I'm not critical of the music in MK so much because it hasn't been good in a long while. The last track I remember really liking was the Hell's Foundry theme back from Deception. I don't mind the orchestral direction either, but they need a more epic feel. Like in God of War or something.

As for the tracks themselves, yeah way too repetitious. Which is why I don't think they are official tracks. From the stream we heard music and it wasn't nearly as repeated.

It's still on my workout playlist. Sure, its repetitive but it's nostalgic as fuck so it gets a free pass.

Ill take the background music from the first 3 MK games over any other MK music any day, something about those three games music is so epic to me, nostalgia likely plays a role in my opinion though

I am sorry with KI knocking it out of the park when it comes to fighting game soundtracks MK better step it up. And I really hope those are not tracks from the actual game or...this soundtracks is looking like it is going to be even more lackluster than the previous games.

everyone tries to do the epic orchestral Zimmerman shit without backthought wether that collides with the overall impression the game gives us.

Imo the music started to go down with MKA, for JMK vs DC it was somewhat forgivable, but MK9's main themes were not really doing it. I am not speaking of course of the stage music.
