Going from left to right from Scorpion, minus those two rows and the first two characters from the third row. You get MILEENA as the 11th character. Reverse that by starting at Sub-Zero and the 11th character is JADE. Going from Scorp to Cyber-Sub then back up to Liu then down 3 from him and NOOB ends up being the 11th. Other side, Human Sub to Cyber Sub and back to the top in next row going down, the 11th is SMOKE. From bottom starting with Cyber Sub and going right (exclude cyber sub for P2), go up to Raiden then go left and so forth until you get to the 11th character whom is STRYKER. Reverse that and you end up with SONYA.
However if you go from Cyber Sub up to Scorpion then go 3 up from Sheeva, JADE once again becomes number 11. Opposite side, Cyber Sub to Human Sub then 3 up from Quan Chi is MILEENA.
They could also be hinting that the 11th character on the select screen will be revealed? Seeing the select screen in the early going, going from left to right at the top, it seems the 11 character is hooded.
The only one out of the 6 above in capital letters that has a hood is NOOB.
it could possibly be a new character or a character from MK4-D that had a hood....Havik or Kobra?
Who knows, it may not be a hood and just shoulder length hair that looks like a hood...
Remember the 11th was mentioned more than once.
Just a guess on my part.

If a new character is revealed, I would like to see a Shadow Priest or the female in Jades ending.
