I am not too upset about Johnny or Lui. Given the events of MK9 I think both are in for an overhaul for design and gameplay. (Lui getting fried by Raiden and Johnnys Arcade ending, if canon, becoming a seido) It will be interesting to see the path NRS goes with them.

Sonya on the other hand.. well I have already expressed how I feel about her inclusion.

I would like it to be someone who was not in the last game. Preferably from the MKDA/MKA era.

I'd be all-in for seeing some interesting new characters, but if they show some obscure returning characters with thrilling variations and movesets, I'd be equally thrilled.

Hell, new or returning, I just need a character reveal that sets off that "spark." That electrical feeling where when you see the trailer, you think "I'm going to main the shit out of you, you magnificently fabulous bitch/bastard." I await that day with bated breath.

I'm looking forward to see what new characters they have cooked up, but I'm even more excited to see the MK4-MKA returnees! Its been nearly ten years since we've seen most of them, and I'm excited to see what NRS will do with them. I'm hoping for at least 4, not including Quan Chi and Kenshi who we saw in MK9.



Funny you say that, I had a dream last night of a trailer where a bird-type character flew over a battlefield, and when it zoomed in it was an epic fight of Mileena and Tanya versus Kitana and Jade. I was so disappointed when I woke up and realised it wasn't real. Dreaming of MK.. sad I know!

MK doesn't have Vikings in MK yet.

Kenshi is also a samurai and we have a lot of ninjas. Shao Kahn seems gladiatorial or Mongolian in the name Kahn.

for archangels... They won't be that easy as they would serve the Elder gods.

We have plenty of demons but no angels. I dont know if it is because they do not fit the dark theme of MK but angels can be pretty brutal if done correctly.

What about vikings? They can use Norse myth in MK somehow.

As for magic, Shang Tsung is a wizard/sorcerer, Quan Chi is a necromancer and voodoo priest.

We don't have a druid, witch/warlock and alchemist yet.

Well, MK doesn't need to fill out every fantasy stereotype there is. It'll just end up as a mess.

Well Ashrah is the closest thing we have to an angelic character and Imo she was a breath of fresh air in MKD. It doesn't have to be a typical angel or something, with wings and a halo (looking at you tekken!). Revamping Ashrah's light powers could definitely work in MK.

But I agree. It does not have to be your typical Angel It could be a dark rendition of an angel. Just look at the elder gods; they arent all sunshine and happiness all the time. Sometimes they have their own motives/desires.

That is mostly the reason I loved her storyline. A demon who wants to cleanse herself and become holy? I mean how cool is that. Have we ever seen that in any other game?

Devil May Cry? Maybe? I am not too familiar with DMC but I think Dante is half Demon.

But anyway, it is still pretty cool, I agree. Definitely one of the cooler story lines.

I wouldn't mind some sort of angelic/elder god champion as a new character to combat scorpion instead of scorpion becoming their champion. It would take the foot off the gas of scorp vs subby which is getting old.

Considering that many people would love to perform a fatality on the black haired version of him, this would be a brilliant marketing move.

If there was a druid in MK, he/she can morph into various animals of nature like a wolf and control plants. He/she can take over Nightwolf's spot.

For a witch, if she'd be different from Omegis, who knows... maybe black/white magic?

@thisiscourage I like your agreement on the bird idea I mentioned. If he/she is a tengu, he/she can use wings as a weapon to fire feather-shaped darts/daggers. Maybe illusion-like wings.
