I didn't spoil the story mode nrs spoiled the God damn story mode by doing this. So now we have good guys in charge of earth realm, outworld and the netherrealm where is next threat coming from nrs???? No wonder they said they don't know where to go after MKX they shot themselves in the foot pretty bad with this lame ending. I guess it will be up to the comics to try and save the franchise or maybe we will get another Armageddon game up next

I never heard of a person being disappointed in a game they never played, cause of a story mode. Me personally, I don't play a MK game for the story, but for the gameplay, graphics, fatalities etc. A story is is a plus definitely, but I can care less about it

Sure you have. I may delve out my fair share of constructive criticism once I have actually played the fucking game, but not a moment before. Mortal Kombat is a fighting game and all that matters is if the actual gameplay is good. stages, story mode, fatalities, mini games... all of these things are fluff, they don't really matter.

All you people bad mouthing my disappointment before I play the game are fools. These are my opinions and I am entitled to express them if I want the game may very well be great but I still have dissapointments with it that will not change no matter how awesome the game play is such as the duration of the story, the roster and the dissapointing returning boss charcater. How well or how poor they do it is irrelevant the choices that nrs have made in these categories I lost have disappointed and have failed to meet my expectations.

Before you see a movie or read a book you get an idea of it in your head then you learn about it and it may or may not meet your expectations this is a process that can happen long before you read the book or watch the movie. My disappointments are real and valid and evidently are shared by a lot of people. A lot of info is known about this game now and yes I haven't played it but I can draw informed decisions about it from the info available and from what I have seen so far the game is falling well short of my expectations and hopes.

Again im glad no one is dissapointed about the gamplay and feel.

I agree with this completely. Even Ed one said Shinnok as a boss in MK4 wasn't a good idea so why is he boss again and yes if you've played MK9 then you knew it would be him. No "surprise" there.

My only pet peeve is the roster. We were supposedly were going to have more newer characters than any MK game before yet we have more returning characters like before. So they couldn't make anyone else?

Someone once said that Tobias needs to return for the story. Perhaps I agree yet they redid the story with a different continuity to suit the new games since Tobias is no longer with Netherrealm. Just my opinion.

Still I'd like to get the game to complete my MK Kollection.

I'm hoping those roster squares are going to spin and show more characters as it is all about time lines and that. Old characters - spin -new characters, or factions maybe.
The look of the game is disappointing to me, dull and lifeless colours. Cage looks worse than MK9, as do all the women. Sonya's sucking a lemon! And she's a softee in the story with Cage rescuing her. groan...

The only disappoint there is is all the dumb people bitching all day.

Also with variants there are actually 17 stages in the game.

Destroyed City, Dead Woods, Jinsei Chamber and Sky Temple have a 2nd variant.

I'm disappointed I don't have the game yet... DAMN YOU BOON!!

Is this a fact? I've seen another version of the Destroyed City, but only in Story mode. Even if it's true, the stage count is disappointing.

All stages with a Dragon Symbol have another version.

This guy is completely right. Everyone is allowed to express their disappointments. It's their opinion and everyone is allowed to state them if they wish.

Which is why I feel 100% comfortable expressing my opinion that all people complaining with their disappointments are dbags.

It doesn't take a genius to know there are disappointing aspects before the disc is in my PS4. I know right now 13 stages is disappointing and I don't have to play the game to figure that out. Stages, story mode & fatalities don't matter? Come on man. How are you even a MK fan in the first place then if all you care about is gameplay? Each of your replies to me digs your hole deeper and deeper Joe.

The story has not been a focal point of this series since Deception. They clearly stopped caring with Armageddon so why should I? The main focus of the WB era of Mortal Kombat has been gameplay which is why I feel the story and the fluff do not matter anymore.

If anyone has a problem with someone expressing their feelings towards the game, just shut up. No one is REQUIRED to like this game, and every topic here does not have to absolutely praise the game without saying anything negative about it.

I'll add on to the DLC issue. I feel that it's a cop-out. "Oh, we didn't add your favorite characters to the game for really no reason? We'll just throw them in after the fact and make you waste your extra time and money to get them even though they probably could have/should have been in the game from launch". I don't like that approach. The DLC that was already announced, weeks before the game is even released, leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Kind of insulting.

The DLC left me flustered as well. Though I'm beginning to blame WB more and more for some of these fundamental issues I see.
