Those are the classic arcade towers tho, all the other characters there are playable...If he's fully modeled and you can actually fight him...why would he not be playable? And why would you fight him in arcade? That doesn't make sense.

The Cyrax and Rain challenge thing IGN mentions is their moves only appearing in different challenges ( Cyrax's bombs, Rain's bubble ) They didn't actually fight them.

No they're not. They're part of the Challenge Towers (Klassic and Living).

The actors and Zombies and Tarkatan were fully modelled in MK9 but not playable. I'm not saying Jax, Sonya aren't playable (I hope they are) but they may just be challenges to face in the tower. Maybe they will become the two classic characters in the DLC later on... Just a thought.

Now would be the time to fix Sonya not bring her back just to ruin her again.

Those Tarkatans and Cyborgs and such in MK9 were basically palette swamps or slightly modified existing characters. Not really comparable.

Making them DLC later on, when they already are in the game would be a shitty move.

These might be similar, they might be just copy and paste versions of MK9 with no variations. Let's hope not, but we can't be sure yet.

The trailer was awesome, a lot of unintentional? revelations, the hype train is nice but jumping on conclusions and assuming confirmations on even the smallest hint, it's a little too much.

On the video:

The Faction kill system: they seem to have put a lot of thought into it, it's a clever way to and extend the game's life span, it also encourages a sense of community and teamplay within the online scene. Very nice, my only gripe is where is the Outworld/Kotal faction at?

That doesn't seem like Jax to me, in all honesty, he seems to be wearing a metallic mask, covering his eyes?

The Bow character, seems to have a similar chest-band to Kenshi's but with a veil like Rain's?

Wow, Kitana's face, a drastic difference indeed, but it doesn't bother me at all, she definitely looks way younger than her MK9's model.

On Sonja, it surprises me how sloppy they were to outright reveal a character that way, I still have my doubts though, but I believe an official reveal will clear all doubts.

I assure you that all of those reveals were intentional.

They see these videos several times over before putting them out, they know what build they are from and what is being shown etc. There's always a video like this closer to release that shows several hints or glimpses of unrevealed fighters.

I hope it's not Jax. I know a lot of people have been accusing several characters of being "spot wasters" but Jax imo takes the cake. He hasn't done anything interesting in years and I just don't see what he can bring to this particular game other than being a token.
