Wasn't there a fake "leak" that the final boss of MKX was Reiko all cut up by the kamidogu? While it was fake it seems odd that this is his appearance in the comic.
Coincedence maybe?

Glad to have finally caught up on the comics with my broke ass. Just bought the 7th issue today and read the link. Thanks for posting that btw.
I'm still enjoying the story, but I hate that they brought back to the not so great artist. I'm trying to be tactful, but wow that art work is...not good.
With that said, I love seeing Scarlet with a decent roll, Johnny and Sonya bonding, Raiden and Fujin Bromance, the whole Jackie and Cassie hostage situation koming to a conclusion finally.
"I know, I never listen." Awww don't beat yourself up Raiden, what else could you do?...But still, this is totally Fujin and Raiden right now... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AXTQeSGJjGM

Good news for Havik fans...possibly.
I tweeted to Shawn about not killing off Havik, he responded with "He is notoriously Hard to Kill!"
Maybe its like saying NRS doesn't want Havik, but he still has a fanbase so they're possibly keeping him around. Who knows with something as subtle as Mortal Kombat story developers.
I don't know how to share tweets, but take my word for it.

Havik was offed in the first round of the tournament and had zero involvement in MKX.
The comic is the only thing keeping him relevant right now.

Of course Havik is hard to kill. He snaps his neck like it's nothing.

I guess we also found out that his human face in #21 was intentional after all.
