I am hating this storyline more and more. Even in a story about blood magic, Skarlet is just second fiddle to Reiko, and instead of giving some real complexity to Raiden with his Dark aspect, oh no it's just a demon possession because it it very obvious that is where they're going. Boo.

Good to see Fujin, but again, he really does nothing.

Pretty boring issue if you ask me, some nice dialogue but still. Also getting more Johnny and Sonya next, so most likely that will be boring too. They also pretty much gave Reiko Shinnok's motivations. I don't get it.

Who is the redhead on the end ?

And excited for next one Sonya and Johnny secret origin.

Skarlet I'm assuming

I guess Kamidogu is simply a catchall term for any artifact directly created by an Elder God. The Jewels that control the cohesion of the realms, Shinnok's amulet, and these daggers are all Kamidogu.

So the Jinsei rejects evil as long as the individual is being manipulated by outside demonic influences?

Really diggin' the comic and how it fleshes out the backstory for MKX (despite the inconsistencies which, given Kittelsen was probably given an early draft, cannot be helped).

But the mere fact we have Havik, Reiko, Kintaro, Skarlet and Shujinko of all people involved in this plot just geeks me the hell out.

I hope Takeda kills Shujinko in the next two issues. Can't stand the constant stupidity of that guy. Now Kotal Kahn is Saddam Hussein, smuggling in Black Dragon WMDs?

According to Cassie's ending, he will survive in MKX comics...

Damn I hope, by some miracle, he becomes dlc.

I'm not sure Shujinko was being stupid this time around, since it turns out he was also possessed by the kamidogou, we can assume, before Scorpion and Takeda got there.

We don't know if that ending is canon though. I hope its not, because its stupid, Mortal Kombat Armageddon Stupid....

Well the cover art for these upcoming chapters is a bit bothering. If Scorpion kills Havik....I know who my next Fatality Dummy is.

Really loving the comic so far! Giving backstory to the characters is refreshing. Looks like Reiko is getting influenced by the One Being. This chapter was just a build up. I can not wait for Scorpion to fight Havik. Hopefully Scorpions kills Havik. That would be great. Roll on the next issues.

Anyway, after a good issue last week, we're back to "meh" this go-round. Shujinko's transformation was cheesy beyond belief, and I'd really like to see Kittelsen come up with plot twists for a change that don't involve characters mutilating themselves or each other. It's gotten boring.
Next week, a whole chapter will be wasted on the origins of Cage and Sonya. Whoop-de-damn-doo.

As much as I do enjoy the comics, and I do, is anyone else more excited to know what happens AFTER MKX? Don't get me wrong, I'm curious to how all this plays out and how everyone gets to where they're at in the story mode, but still.

It will be really interesting to see how the Blood Magik works on Skarlet.
Havik was really clever to use Shang Tsung's Island as his base of operations.

I was happy to see Fujin back, though as redman said, he hasn't done much. His and Sonya's face were drawn so ugly in some shots though. :-\

Yeah the comics have pretty much lost all their allure at this point because they have nothing to do with events in MKX, and are inconsistent with what we saw in the game. The fact that the comics and the game seem disconnected killed the comics for me even more.

I don't care anymore and just want the story to progress past MKX now. This all just seems like a waste of energy.

Like most external media from a game I doubt we'll even see most of the stuff in the comics acknowledged, mainly because it seems like it would just be too hard for Vogel to keep up with the character building and lore being established in something he didn't have a hand in writing.

Hell he can't even stay consistent with the stuff he did write!

Definitely, after the mess that was the MKX storyline.

A lot of the faces look odd in this issue, but Skarlet is hot without her mask and her hair down.

Also, am I the only one wondering why Kung Jin hasn't shown up yet?

I liked this issue, it has some nice build up. The next Cage x Blade Sekret Origins might be boring, but when we get to Scorpion vs Havik and Takeda vs Possessed Shujinko it should be good, not to mention whatever Reiko and Skarlet are going to to do next, it should be great.

Me and everyone wants to know, since majority hated the MK X story

I was literally just about to say this. Maybe he's off with Kai enjoying those proclivities, if ya know what i mean huehue ;)

As a long time fan of Reiko, it's bittersweet to see him as this 'straight to DVD' villain. At least it's an improvement from the Armageddon intro where he got launched into orbit.
