The bracketed part is what you are referring to, but, how you wrote it doesn't incline in any way. More-less it's because of the lost of her friends and allies.

This is Kano's ending:

This is Jax's Ending:

He searched for Shao Kahn's remaining forces utilizing a new cyber-scanner designed to remotely access worldwide databases. Navigating its virtual reality interface, Jax inadvertently accessed Kano's brain through his optical laser implant.Their minds linked,Jax virtually battled Kano. Finally he captured and quarantined Kano's consciousness within the Special Forces mainframe. A dangerous criminal had finally been neutralized."

I just want you to re-read Jax's ending. Just because it has Kano in it, doesn't mean squat for Mortal Kombat X. Kano was never killed in the story, he was frozen and managed to free himself, we don't know what happened after that to him, but I can certainly say, just because Jax has him being mentioned in his ending, doesn't remotely speak for his appearance in this next game. Why? I don't know, maybe it's got to do with something about how he's dead?

As I said before, arcade endings differ from the actual story. Just because something is stated in their ending doesn't mean it's coming true. There's a whole lot of endings in 2011 that people would really like to see, but because it doesn't happen in the game's actual story, chances of that event happenng in Mortal Kombat X are less likely to occur.
