But that's my point; the pics people added to the original select screen (in the OP, which isn't the badly edited one) are mostly bullshit!

The neo pic doesn't exactly match the outline of the second box on the bottom row but look at the portrait of Reptile on the official new select screen taken directly from the Kombat Kast 2 stream- that matches.

The portrait of Kano from the official select screens are identical to the outline of the second to last box on the bottom row; it can't be denied because it's obvious, unless NRS is suddenly going to decide to alter Kano's look drastically before release just so people can say "Yay the Terminator looking box was Kano"...

If it makes you feel any better I want her in the game. If NRS told me I could pick only one MK4 character to be playable in the game aside from Quan Chi I would pick her(Reiko being a close second). With the way she was teased in MK9 and how NRS got so many requests for her to be DLC for that game, I can't see her not making it in. If she isn't on the initial roster I'd almost say she is a lock for DLC.

I want her to come back inspired by her Deception look and to be a sorceress. MK needs one and I think Tanya is a perfect fit for that role.

With #11 I automatically thought of Shang Tsung from Deadly Alliance with that type of hairstyle. #3 would be Cyrax cause of the yellow. #10 I think was Patrick Bateman so closest I could think brutally speaking was Mileena. The dreads in #13 scream Jacqui to me. #14 is obvious; Neo/Kenshi. #15 also obvious; Baraka/Obama. #18 is Rorschach but could be Kung Lao cause of the hat. #20 is Kano because of the eye matching the Terminator scene.

Before I joined the MKO forum, I was indifferent on Tanya. Since I've joined and see you posting non-stop on various threads of your borderline psychotic obsession with that character, that's changed. Because of your habitual Tanya posts, I now hate her and I am almost tempted to take the hour drive to Chicago, pound the door of NRS, and beg them not to include Tanya at all either in the game or in the comic.


Anyway, I practically forgot what the topic of this particular thread was because of her 15 billionth post about Tanya. The first character select screen cannot be real, as you don't see the silhouttes of characters like Raiden or Kung Lao who have hats. With the exception of one character (and his hat is much to short for the hats that Lao and Raiden sport, and it does in fact look like Rohrschach), none of the other squares show characters that look remotely like Raiden or Kung Lao.

I really hope that they expand the silhouettes out. I hope we have over 30 characters for the main roster.

Totally agree. Just ridiculous. I bet if Sub-Zero or Scorpion hadn't been revealed yet you wouldn't hear the end of it. There'd be an uproar. People harp on about their favourite characters here all the time, but when it's a Tanya post, suddenly there's a problem. Rather sad that one character can create such spitefulness in people. So Maria_Linda is passionate about Tanya being included, how is it any different to, for example, all the Mileena posters who are vocal about their desperation to see her in MKX? Some people take life way to seriously.

It's gotten really bad lately. The avid hate some characters get... just because people like them, is getting to absurd levels.

Yes it's sarcasm, its just voicing frustration of the frequency I see with her posting non-stop about Tanya. Of course everyone has favorite characters, mine is Sub Zero and Kung Lao, but I wasn't going nuts prior to Kung Lao's reveal on practically every thread clamoring that NRS include Kung Lao. Frankly, I was shocked that NRS did reveal him. I was one of the people who, naively, believed that NRS would finally begin to adopt "the dead stay dead" and enter a new generation of fighters in this game.

Again, I have no issue with folks talking about their favorite characters on a fan forum. But every...single...post that I've seen her make on various threads seems to be about Tanya. There's so much more to the game than one character. The character Tanya isn't annoying, it's someone repeatedly mentioning a character over and over and over with every post and seemingly avoiding the topic of the thread itself often times.

I was just hoping that, although I liked Kung Lao and Kitana alot, that this MKX would set the stage for a majority of brand new characters to enter the fray and basically say farewell to the few surviving ones in this installation.


I am curious about that mysterious box to the end, I have to agree that it likely may be where you can select downloadable characters like Goro or others.
