100% agree. It isn't the fatalities being easy that bothers me, it's the micro-transactions.
Micro-transactions aren't going to make or break MK. It's going to do well on it's own. What this does do though is create a potential situation where micro-transactions become commonplace and with bigger stakes attached to them.

As micro transactions go, I actually don't mind this one, because it's not something I feel in any way compelled to buy.
This is what they should be. Convenience items for rich and/or stupid people. I hate micro transactions that are actual content or items within the game.

Well add this to the things Ed Boon lies about. He's been asked multiple time in interviews about micro transactions and every time he says "No, no, no, there won't be micro transactions with the game"
We all know he's a liar, but that's not my problem... My problem is that every time someone does make one of these stupid purchases all it will do is further motivate NRS and WB and give them more incentive to continue doing these kinds of things in games. And fuck that.

This is the stupidest thing ever since they re-spawn all the time in the Krypt forever and you just have to use Kombat Koins for them and no real money.. So it is a big ripoff to the fans.

Lol I don't see the big deal, nobody is being forced to buy them, you can still do them the regular way for free, you know, the way we have been doing them for like 20 years now lol
If somebody wants to buy easy fatalities then that's on them lol

I have a feeling a lot of people don't understand how these Easy Fatalities work. The Easy Fatalities are consumables. You can do any Fatality (assuming it is unlocked) in easy mode (hold a trigger button and click a particular face button- this is seen in the last Kombat Kast). When you buy 30 Easy Fatalities, that means you can do any Fatality in easy mode 30 times total. It doesn't mean you have unlocked 30 different fatalities.
This means that even if you unlock more of them in the Krypt, if you keep using them, you will run out and then have to buy more with Koins or cash to continue doing them (or wait for them to respawn in the Krypt).
Personally, I have no problem with this. It isn't a paywall, and no hardcore player is going to need to purchase them. No one is at any disadvantage for not purchasing them. If a game has micro-transactions, doing it like this is the only acceptable way (making them 100% optional).

How in the world is it a rip off?
Are you forced to buy this? Absolutely not so it's just a CONVENIENCE ITEM.
It's not that serious bruh.

It's probably a universal command that you get to use a certain number of times.
There's already plenty of easy fatalities in the game from the start, Jax, Mileena and Ermac are just hold R2 and press square / block. Sub-Zero's was like a 5 button combo and I pulled it off, there was one with Kotal Kahn 3/4 buttons and I could not pull it off haha
U gotta think of the youngsters and the casuals. This is for them. My 8 year old daughter plays the Shit out of mk9 with me. I can't even get her to remember my cell # or our address, so u think she can remember 50 fatality inputs? LoL.
According to this article (among many others reporting it), part of the day 1 DLC patch nerfed the amount of currency you get during the game for the sake of pushing sales of the "unlock krypt" and "easy fatalities" DLC.
This is rather nefarious, especially if done after review copies went out, and despite the fact I have no real issue with people paying money to unlock things automatically that they can do in-game, I really think it's shitty to punish the legit players by arbitrarily inconveniencing them for the sake of nickel-and-diming them to make buying the content more attractive, while making the actual task of unlocking them a chore and not fun.
Also, I'm curious about this "buy easy fatalities", since - according to the article - they're consumables, meaning if you bought the 30 fatalities, you can only perform 30 of them before they become locked again.
If true, this sets a new precedence for bullshit DLC.

I haven't seen any proof that they purposely lowered the amount of koins one gets to try and get people to buy stuff with real money. Sounds to me like people just pulling shit out of their asses to make NRS look bad.
Maybe its true they lowered the amount of koins you get, but maybe they were giving people too much and you could unlock everything way too quickly and they lowered it so it would take longer to unlock everything? I am going to give NRS the benefit of the doubt on this one, hell if anyone was to blame I would be pointing fingers at WB.

Yes, they're consumable. After 30 uses, they're gone and you'd have to buy another pack to do easy fatalities again. And yeah, it's a dick-bag move IMO.

I'm glad they lowered it. It wouldn't take long to unlock everything if you were getting 1000 koins instead of 100. That's too easy. Part of the fun in unlocking stuff is the challenge.

Like I said, it's rather ironic, since NRS would prefer you to buy the easy way to get them.

Well I can't speak for the unlock all krypt dlc, but the easy fatality is an unlockable in the krypt. It's also one of the first chests/skull/etc that come across from what I've read. It's also not that expensive at around 800 koins.
I don't have the game yet, so I don't really know what rate you ear currency, but it looks comparable to MK9, so I'm thinking whatever article stated they nerfed currency earn rates just to push dlc, was BS.
I'd also like to point out that the mobile game rewards currency in the console version as well. Plus I'm pretty sure there are going to be giving coin bonuses based on faction placement each week, so that might be a reason why currency earn rates were nerfed as well.

You guys realise this is WB and not NRS?
NRS are developing the game, they have no influence on the easy fatality shenanigans that are imposed by WB.
Here we have a publisher trying to milk one its most successful franchises dry. Sad, really, but that's what all publishers are up to nowadays.

Correct, but NRS never was its own publisher.
All these DLC and marketing plans are coming from the publisher, whoever it is. They are funding the title so they want to get as much out of it as possible.

Boon controls what the game looks like most likely but WB still decides on how to market the title (which also includes DLC pricing, etc.)
My local bus stop posters are certainly not coming from NRS themselves (unless WB asked them to design it).
