MKX New Character Ideas

So far for new characters, we have Cassie Cage, D'Vorah, Ferra & Torr and Kotal Kahn.

So what's next?

What new characters to join in the fray?

I'm not crazy about them adding a bunch of new characters. Ever since 1997, there's probably only like 6 "newly introduced" characters that were actually good. (Kenshi, Quan Chi, Sareena, Tanya, Reiko (and I'm pushing it with Reiko)...ummm, that's all I can think of...the rest suck imo lol) They were all ripoffs from past characters. The idea of Kira was realllllly awesome, but they made her a Sonya/Kano ripoff.

Jarek - Kano
Kai - Liu Kang
Li Mei - Mileena
Frost - Sub Zero
Mavado - Kabal
Fujin - Raiden
Kira - Sonya/Kano (I had high hopes for her too...they can still fix it!)

And don't get me started on these messes: Hsu Hao, Hotaru, Darrius, Kobra, Drahmin, Mokap...like ugh, seriously??? sleep

Samurai. Mortal Kombat needs a fucking Samurai. The closest thing to one has been Hotaru, so if he returns, that would be great.

Kenshi is the MK universe's resident samurai. MK:DA's Konquest says "[he] indeed possess[es] the code of the Bushido." His hara-kiri in Deception is a portion of samurai seppuku ritual (although not completed because nobody cut his head off after he disemboweled himself.) He's got samurai written all over him.

As for a wendigo, absolutely not.

You're all right about Kenshi being a samurai. Hotaru almost looks like one too.

Is there anything in mind that is....

- Egyptian
- Indian
- Mayan
- Mesopotamian
- Slavic
- Thai
- Celtic
- Aboriginal
- Oceanic
- Filipino

Shao Kahn looks almost samurai... but Roman and a gladiator. And Kotal Kahn is Aztec.

Can someone please tell me how li mei is a ripoff of mileena? Or how Fujin is a ripoff of Raiden? Just because they share similar colors or they are both gods, that doesn't mean they are ripoffs.

Jarek only had Kano's moves in MK4, not in MKA.
Kai was really no resemblance to Liu in MK4.
Li Mei was waaaaay different than Mileena.
Frost/Sub-Zero, I can see the resemblance.
Mavado just because of the hook-swords? So what!
Fujin/Raiden...lol, there is no resemblance whatsoever.
Kira- It was only to make Kano and Sonya fans happy (MKD).

I would like for Jax's daughter to show up as well. He could have had a daughter we didn't know about already prior to getting killed off in MK9. We never exactly knew a lot about his personal life so it's not the kind of development that would feel shoehorned in just for the sake of creating another 'descendant' character.

- a female Voldo contortionist

How about an archer type character? I think they did a pretty good job with green arrow in Injustice so I think it could definitely work out in MKX.

What about an angel-like warrior with light powers. Who is one of the Elder gods' champions.

One character that I would be interested in seeing would be an alchemist/scientist could use random needles transmutations and or chemical reactions in a fight with glass flasks being a ranged weapon. Then again it probably wouldn't work but meh just an idea

1) Some new Red Dragon type character, a non-human one that has some dragon blood in his veins and which has some strange dragon cult going on for him. Of course he needs a lacky too.

2) Earth-based warrior, doesn't matter if its Tremor or another one, just one with earth-based powers, powerhouse and guardian/guard role.

3) If Nitara doesn't make it in, then some Aztec guy based on the giant bat Camazotz.

4) The smith from Kabals mk9 ending, I love that dude! And now Kano obviously isn't about this, the smith should be in.

5) Some narcissist, vain character.

6) If Kai doesn't have a panther move, another Aztec character with jaguar transformations and maybe a daughter of Kotal.
