It's good that they are catering to some degree, but I think in general they made the right choice in not putting much effort into a port for previous gen. Those who didn't upgrade to new consoles are far, far less than those who did, and current gen consoles are where the money is. The amount of time, effort and most importantly, money, put into porting a current gen game to an inferior, previous gen system will not pay off. They'll barely make 25% of the revenue that MKX did for current gen systems, and even that 25% will be marginalized by the amount of money the sunk into outsourcing the development for it.

They're much better off waiting on releasing a "komplete edition" to previous gen, and that's probably exactly what they are doing. It'll be much easier to release a previous gen complete game than to do DLC support, which will probably be even less profitable.

ya a Komplete Edition of MKX is what im expecting for the ps3/xbox360 crowd, I cant see NRS supporting dlc on last gen. Would be too much of a hassle

I'm with you there. All SNES here. Hardly missed the Genesis "blood kode" for MK1. Still played the mess out of it. And I certainly was glad to have the better sound for the other two games.

Back to the topic though, I don't use the standard social media sites at all. I trust my MKO brothers to keep me up to date when Boon & Co. let us know when/if the last gen versions are happening.

I'll let you know if anything comes up. I'm checking neogaf at the moment in case anything leaks,like the 1st delay.

I told my friend this, how we won't know anything about the last gen version until after the entire Kombat Pack 1 is out since they will be too busy on that.
Now that it is, I'm sure we will get some news in September.

I find it hard to believe that KP2 has no females. My money is on Li Mei or Sareena.

That looks kind of legit but the lack of shadow and the overall lack of consistency in what's in lower resolution and what isn't tells me this might just be the PC port on low settings(Yeah, I know the description says it's not). But if it's true, and they did leak the KP2, then I'm down with it!

A KP2 without Fujin would be a huge mistake. And 3 ninjas?

Sadly, I could see some marketing fucker at WB telling them to make KP2 all ninjas and a guest character. "Your franchise is all about those colored ninjas, right? Yeah, load it up with those. An all ninja pack? Idk, that seems kinda fishy, but this footage and screenshots seem legit. I guess they are doing several packs, and if it's true then they're probably doing like a ninja pack, story pack, etc. I'm still sketchy though.
