I'm actually kinda surprised to see so many people putting Lei Mei on their lists. I never really cared about her and found her to be a bit overrated, but I've seen people request her return a lot for MKX haha

Shujinko because once you play through MK:D Konquest, you realize that he's a fucking idiot.
Jarek because there's essentially no difference between him and Kano. He even fired lasers from his eyes DESPITE NOT HAVING CYBERNETIC EYES. They might as well have just put Kano in MK4. And I'm not even a Kano fan.
Never been a fan of the cyber-ninjas. I was one of those who believed that MK3's high-tech motif was too much of a departure from MK's core, and the robots were symbolic of that shift in direction.
Khameleon and Chameleon were poster children for the ninja bloat of the UMK3/Trilogy era.

While I don't agree with Sektor and Cyrax being on that list, those are very legit reasons. I've never seen it from that perspective.

Although I love all the characters, if I did have to make a top of the ones I don't enjoy playing with much, it would be this:

5. Jarek/Kira/Kobra- unless they make them Kano's or Havik's children monitored since birth with the purpose of taking over their father's army, then they are only in the games to be punching bags and get their asses kicked by someone else. They are not even Red Dragon with that whole aura of mysticism and real dragons around them, they're just Black Dragon street thugs.

4. Cyrax/Sektor - cyborgs were a 90s concept. At least Sektor had a cool story, killed his father to become Grandmaster and sought to use the power of the Dragon Medallion. Cyrax joined the OIA and retrieved Nitara's orb which freed her realm on smashing in a plot that's so childish it's painful. Cyborgs just look stupid in 2014. They should have just changed their appearance to normal skin on the exterior and metal alloy underneath in the reboot.

3. Nightwolf- I was surprised to find out he had a pretty big fanbase. The NRS team loves him, I just find him bland, just another human from Earthrealm we don't need.

2. Jax- where can you take a character like Jax to go further with the story? He's not an old edenian with a thousands of years backstory, he's not from an interesting realm, he doesn't have any special abilities like mastering an element, he's just....Jax. Hope he stays dead for the longest time.

1. Mokap - could there have been anyone else?

(I don't hate these characters, but I find it difficult to play as them as I can't create an interesting reason for their existence in my mind. Some were fun in the mid 90s, but I want to think that we've gotten smarter since then)

Yes, I'd rather play as Reiko, Fujin, Havik, Hotaru, Ashrah, Dairou, Darrius, Sareena, Li Mei, Taven, Daegon, Tanya, Kenshi or Drahmin instead of these guys. If that makes me a little crazy , then I guess I'm just a special MK fan
