None is a bad character if the NRS team works more to give him a powerful backstory, the proper respect (not make them punching bags Baraka and Reptile in MK9 or idiots like resurrected Onaga in Armageddon and Shang in MK9) and some good moves.

These lists are making my brain bleed.

I'd give every character a second chance. I think all MK characters have potential to be interesting if revamped properly, except Chameleon and Mokap.

The way I see it, Sub Zero is arguably the most useless character in MK lore. He does nothing of importance to the story. Besides being a punching bag in the new timeline there is really no need for him. He is called an assassin but he does not kill anyone. I know this trend is partially due to the bad writing present but the wild excuses such as he had to keep moving to avoid capture ... he has to get to the coliseum to face Scorpion ... only he is close enough to delay the Soulnado ritual in time blah blah blah gets pointless fast. All this amounts to him not doing anything noteworthy besides TRYING but never succeeding in killing Scorpion.

As an ASSASSIN he should have done a fatality on Ermac. There is no reason why he should not put down any powerful foe. It seems innocence and honor is first and foremost for Subby. An innocent assassin contradicts the point of being an assassin.

I hate that several ninjas is going down the road of seeking revenge. Scorpion, Sub Zero, Tremor and Rain all do it. Tremor wants revenge against Kano and Rain wants revenge against Shao Kahn in his ending.

I know right! If I was a computer trying to comprehend that, I would probably explode.

I feel characters like Mokap and Meat would be fine as tutorial guy and fatality dummy strictly and not even be playable. Taven and Daegon needed to take more inspiration from roman/greek myths.
Other bad Characters like Dairou, Chameleon, Darrius and even Kobra deserve complete retools.

But fuck these 5 I would be happy to see these gone forever. There is no saving this garbage in my opinion.

Man....Deagon? He may have been forgettable for you, but, no offense, you're not a real Mortal Kombat fan if you don't know his name. I found him and Taven to be great, the Konquest mode was full of great storyline and interesting twists. Can't explain why you'd put them on the list.

Many surprising names on the list, especially considering that Daegon, Frost and Li Mei had cameos in MK9, so there was already a 3D model for them, which means a pretty big chance of being in MKX.
