I think Mileena is about deception and her whole design is about something sexually attractive that turns out to be a deadly trap once you get close enough. So in that sense I think her veil is way more important than -for example- Kitana's mask who doesn't really have any justification to hide her identity any more.

I feel like Mileena should lose the veil/mask, at least for one costume or variation. In today's comic Kotal calls Mileena 'the illegitimate clone' which to me implies that Mileena's creation isn't a secret anymore so I don't really see why she would need the mask. So yeah, sign me up for 'no veil'.

Well, with the existence of variations why not have both like Kitana?

Yeah it's not like the old timeline where she was this dirty secret. In MK9 Shao Kahn seemed pretty happy with her and didn't seem to think she was a failure or incomplete. She has no reason to hide behind the veil and if she was even empress for awhile who wouldn't know?

They'll probably keep it because it's apart of her design and with the variations an easy tell is to just have one with the mask/veil removed and they wouldn't have much work to do. In general though I think she should lose it.

Mileena should have her veil for her alt. Her main should be veil-less but around her neck like in the comic.

I prefer her with a veil, but having an alt or variation where she doesn't have it on would be cool.

Well mileena wasnt really a character that cared what others thought of her looks. Yes she wanted to be beautiful, but its probably at the bottom of her list of wants. Most of all she wants power and the veil is the key to it. I dont know how edenia communicates so Im pretty sure they dont know of Kitana's death , but of course everyone knows shao kahn dead. So she will pretend to be kitana with the veil and go back to edenia to claim the throne by right of royalty to have a standing army ready. Then she starts conquering. In short, yes to the veil because its the main reason why she is a deceiving b**** and we love her for that

As has been touched on, I think she'll have it. I mean they obviously show a new design for her which includes it in the comic, so I'm sure she'll have it. But I could easily see one of her variations being based in some sort of tarkatan ferocity, and since we all know the variations have little visual differences... I assume that one will ditch the mask.

Well the veil did hide her teeth, but that wasn't the only reason for it. As Jade and Kitana also have them, it's probably just a tradition thing for outworld/edenia.

But as for whether she should have it in game. Yeah I prefer her design with the mask, but would be happy with it gone in one variation like Kitana.

She also actively used the veil to dupe people into believing she was Kitana in the past, even in games where both characters had been long established, like Deception. Which could theoretically still work.

Because apparently the people of Outworld and Edenia are completely oblivious to the color preferences of the princess and her clone.

Veil on by default is a MUST. Then for one of her variations mask off would be fine, that's if she puts her teeth to good use.

Yeah, you can just see a maskless variation coming from a mile away, probably called ''Animal'' or ''Cannibal'' or something like that. One of her masked variations will be called ''Femme fatale'', called it first.

Keep the veil. She's gotta have the veil otherwise it just doesn't work for her character. The whole idea is she looks beautiful and becomes deceptive once you know what's underneath the mask. Having no veil just makes her boring.

I don't think she needs the veil/mask anymore. I understand her hiding her tarkatan features have been her trademark for years. Maybe for her alternate with the mask and the primary no mask

Keep the mask. I prefer Mileena be self conscious about her Tarkatan features. But that fits in more with the old timeline Mileena. New timeline Mileena I guess it fits that she goes maskless more often.

A little off topic but does anyone else get the feeling that Mileena will be the boss? If it's not Shinnok or someone like that, I think it might be Mileeba judging by what we have learned in the newest comic.

I have been longing for a female main boss. It certainly would be a twist instead of having a male boss. Although, I do have doubt about it.

For the love of god, keep the veil. That's what makes Mileena Mileena.
