EDIT: Liu Kang confirmed by DLC kombat pack(his classic costume)So Liu Kang konfirmed? I know the image is trolly, but he clearly wrote konfirmed, and maybe just added the image to trick people to think he's not serious.

So later he can be like, "guys i told you he was confirmed awhile back, why you all surprised?" lol

I mean we did see Liu in the towers after all.

and i posted this on the twitter thread too, but no one checks that so figured we could have a discussion about if its pure troll or not.

Yeah I agree with you, His image is misleading.

people will think it's a troll but he truly did just confirm Liu Kang.

I don't think Ed was being serious. With that said, I'd still be surprised if Liu Kang didn't return in MKX.

As much as I'm sure he doesn't intend for us to take him seriously...

I feel like if Liu Kang weren't in, he wouldn't even risk saying it. Lest he be quoted out of context later and bitched at by fans for having once said it.

I'm thinking he can say it and mess with us... because he does ultimately know it's not going to be a lie.

Story of Ricky... just imagine if Liu Kang left the White Lotus and ended up in jail after avenging his girlfriend... actually, aside from the jail part, that doesn't sound too far off from MK Legacy II wink Hell, he even punches through a man's torso like Liu Kang's MK9 fatality.

Don't get your hopes up. That could be Kung Jin or even Takeda (who also wears a headband) The way he is holding his hands is similar to Kenshi's stance

Lol hes doing the exact same pose as liu kang in the image(notice the bottom hand), hes also in the fire god attire from his ending.

The headband is red, not yellow which rules out takeda

Kung jin I bet is a webseries only character(but lets not discusd that here)

Hmm..

If this and the other tower speculations (i.e. Mileena, Jax) are true, that means we have AT LEAST 12 characters returning from MK9, and that makes 14 if we include Sonya Blade and Johnny Cage too.

What really got my hype up when I saw that statue for the first time, is that he's wearing almost exactly the same than during his MK9 and Shang Tsung ending too, when he becomes the mad god, you can even apreciate the small shoulder spikes:

This also increases my hopes of some cool MK9 endings or stuff revealed on them getting touched: Cage's seido training, Smoke's inner creature, Jade's mysterious woman, Jerrod inside of Ermac (probably being the reason why Shao Kahn isn't getting full control over him already)...
