that article is old news....all we know is someone gets unlocked after beating storymode, and some one is unlocked in the challenge towers....in all likely hood its prolly just shinnok whos unlocked in story mode...

I agree this its obvious that lui Kang would be aligned with white lotus but if he is the secret character that you unlock after story mode, it's not very 'secret' if there gonna just put his name up there with he factions, surely there not that stupid..

I don't think they can keep a 'secret', Liu Kang is the unlockable and Shinnok is the boss.

Makes sense, plus I think whoever is the unlockable is going to be a surprise boss or sub boss. And having them already unlocked may ruin the story surprise.

It seems like they're just naming character that were historically in each faction. I doubt they've beaten Story Mode. Unless Liu Kang is unlocked from the beginning and buddy with Raiden in intros, I wouldn't hold much importance to that.

So if Fire God Liu is not the unlockable final boss... then who the hell is it?

Shinnok has a 99% chance of being revealed tomorrow. I don't think they would show (and do a break-down) of an unlockable character. Unlockables are secrets. You find them when you get the game. They won't ruin that for us.

If they don't show him, though, he probably is the unlockable character.

Shinnok has not shown any variations gameplay nor has he been officially revealed. Yes he been in trailers and we got his dlc costume that's really all we know. Liu Kang we saw his gameplay etc. Not shinnok. I'm betting story mode unlockable.

All I can say is that there better be at least one character that hasn't leaked or I'm gonna be pissed. Shinnok having a Samurai pack skin confirms he's playable.

I really doubt Baraka would be the super secret fighter as most people's reactions would be "meh".

I really hope there is a playable character unlocked that none of us know about.
