again... Rain has a redesigned costume....

Not hard to comprehend that he already has a working redesigned model.

Basically he's already done. All they need to do is change the moving, stance and jumping animations.

Even his blocking and breaker animations are different and done.


Same goes for Baraka... actually his blade charge move has a different animation from MK9... Think people... Think.

The only thing going against Rain is Boons comment about how MK9 dlc wouldn't be dlc again in MKX. But Boon often says things that aren't 100% truthful so... the argument for him being dlc is why did they redesign and not just re-use his MK9 attire...?

Li Mei has had a lot of thought put into her redesign and voice actress and I'm pretty sure it means they had her in mind for potential dlc after kombat pack 1. If she isn't in the next round of dlc I'll be surprised.

And Fujin, well if they don't listen to the fans who are now crying for his inclusion after seeing his also amazing redesign then they are crazy. I can see all three being dlc at some point.

Here's hoping.

They redesigned a lot of the NPCs. Plus, no character reuse their MK9 models.

And usually when Boon straight up says a character won't be on the roster for whatever reason, that character won't be there.

Seems logical y'know? Wouldn't make a lot of sense to get a well known person like Kelly Hu for a bit part when you could have just as easily gotten an unknown VA for the character.

Boon ALSO SAID THERE'D BE NO MORTAL KOMBAT CHARACTER IN INJUSTICE.

Don't take everything he says at face value.

The character played a part in the story. The character got redesigned and made playable against.

Same way Martian Manhunter got a redesign in Injustice and was then made a dlc character...

So you're telling me that you see no difference between Rain, Fujin, Li Mei, Baraka and characters like Sindel, Kabal, Nightwolf ect who are without a doubt in their MK9 attires?

That doesn't fucking match up. It's obvious more effort went into giving Rain an entire new costume. If he was just like the other NPCs then he'd have his MK9 outfit with a few minimal updates. This is a completely different design, not just for Rain, but Fujin, Li Mei and Baraka as well.

The whole "they redesigned all the NPCs" excuse is bullshit.

I totally agree. Sindel, Nightwolf, Smoke, the revenants, even Scorpion (for a scene) got their MK9 attires. It's curious why Rain has had a total redesign and not his MK9 outfit. It has to mean something.

I will be quite disappointed if Li Mei's new design gets wasted on such a short cameo. I know not everyone can be dlc, but these two (and Fujin) just seem to have had a lot more effort put in.

Bullshit because you and others are stuck in denial. Cool. They said they want to do new stuff with DLC and that Rain has low chances.

They did in fact redesign A LOT (what I typed) of the NPCs and besides, no character has recycled models either. Be glad the writers bothered to include him the story to warrant effort into designing and modeling him.

Are Nightwolf/Sindel/Stryker are or aren't wearing their MK9 outfits?

The answer is yes. Is Rain wearing his MK9 outfit? The answer is NO.

It's that simple. Rather you think he'll be DLC or not doesn't matter to me as I personally don't care about your particular opinion.

But at least admit that yes, he has a new outfit. That's odd to give him and Baraka new outfits when they could've just re-used their MK9 outfits.

This isn't a debate unless you want it to be. My thing is just admit the facts- yes they have non-MK9 outfits.

*shrug*

That's all that's needed.
