How many do you think we'll get? The Kollector's edition has already been revealed, including a pack of 4 characters consisting of "guests" (plural) and "classic characters".

From this I'm taking 2 guests, and 2 classic characters. Will Goro be classified as one of those classic characters, leaving space for just one more? Or do you think there will be another potential 4 DLC characters - around 8 total? 4 seems on the stingy and disappointing side.

I also like the idea of 'budget' DLC characters - ones with only one variation, for the sake of including more.

I think they will probably do it like Injustice, so im guessing they will give us one wave of DLC characters at first and then sometime later give us a few more.

I would be surprised if the 4 in the Kombat pack are the only DLC characters, and no I don't think the 4 include Goro as he is a pre-order bonus although I'm sure he'll eventually be available to download for those who didn't pre-order.

I think it's a fairly logical idea that if there is one 'Kombat pack' of 4 characters, there might be two. Remember, the Kombat pack included in the special editions is essentially a season pass, so those characters will debut one at a time most likely. I could see there being two sets of four with each one debuting individually and eventually being collected into a DLC package where you can get all four at a slightly discounted rate.

That would be a total of 9 DLC characters including Goro. That is a good number without going overboard, I think.

Ugh. No thank you.

Why don't we just have every character ever available as DLC and call this Armageddon 2. Every character could have 2 special moves, the same shitty kreate a fatality, no endings, no bios, shared fighting styles and horrible character models.

Oh and of course, Klassic fatalities, Klassic costumes, Klassic arenas and Klassic Klassics.

Great response, Nick. Fuck having watered down, incomplete characters.

I had an idea awhile ago that there would be five DLC, and each one would correspond to one of the five factions.

Special Forces - Jax
Brotherhood of Shadows - Sareena
White Lotus - Bo Rai Cho
Black Dragon - Tremor
Lin Kuei - Smoke

...something like that. Add in Goro and whatever comes with this pack, and I think that's a nice number of DLC.

Six would be ideal.

Eight would make 2016 for me though. As well as other extravagant DLC. Like character chapters, arenas, and maybe even a "Klassic Fatalities" pack for a handful of the crew.

Frankly I love complete rosters as a concept. I got giddy about trilogy as a kid and I got giddy about Armageddon as an adult. But I agree, that when the quality suffers because of it, that blows. I liked the idea of both of those games more than the actual games.

I hate incomplete characters. The ones with one or no fatalities. The ones you can't perform fatalities on. The ones with no weapon styles. The ones with no special moves. The ones with no stories. The ones with no costumes. The ones who don't even get their name in their life bar. Hate hate hate that. Always been a huge pet peeve.

BUT... MK9 for all intents and purposes, had the same roster as trilogy, give or take 2 characters. And MK9 was great. It had none of those things. Virtually every character was up to scratch on all those things. Bosses and DLC were a little behind, but that's understandable. But bosses also had fatalities FINALLY, which was amazing. Whereas trilogy was slap dash and messy, MK9 was the same roster in a great well created game. So I do believe, especially as technology advances, that were the proper time and care actually taken to craft one well, we could get a truly great complete roster game.

I do not however think MKX will be that game. MKX strikes me more like Deadly Alliance, roster wise. 50% MK1 and MK2 characters. 50% newbies.

I hope someday we could get a truly great complete roster game, I really do. I'd like to see it.

That would be great actually. I think two waves of six characters (five characters for each faction and then one character who isn't part of a listed faction) would be great for me personally.

Bo' Rai Cho is an instant winner. I'm sold. I'd go White Lotus.

No new characters as Dlc because Skarlet sold shit in mk9.
They will follow injustice route : 5 classic characters (jax, baraka, cyrax, Sektor and one between jade/fujin/bo RAI cho /havik) + 1 or 2 guests.

My guess world be Mad Max and another character from Wb movies.

Anything less than 8 over time is ridiculous. This game has so much potential to be around for a long time n with so many great kharacters being left out, they would be crazy not to keep adding especially since they will sell well like mk9 did n now being on more systems, thats a plus for them

6 to 8

I'd like to see Shang Tsung, Baraka, Havik (in case they don't make it), Shao Kahn, Sektor/Cyrax, and maybe a couple of dead characters from MK2011.

Probably around 4 or 6, half really bad guest characters the other half UMK3 characters who didn't make the initial cut.

Definitely Johnny, Sonya and Jax are a possibility because I'm really starting to think they won't make the initial roster.
